Today we are talking to a top-tier Tony Award-winning talent known for an incredibly accomplished resume ranging from noted performances in original musicals to reinvented revival roles and beyond - the dignified and dynamic Victoria Clark. Discussing many of her most celebrated dramatic, comedic and musical turns to date, Clark recalls an astounding life in the theatre - ranging from her Broadway debut in the unforgettable original production of Sondheim's iconic SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE to the hit revivals of GUYS & DOLLS and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING to originating memorable parts in the Broadway productions of TITANIC, THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, SISTER ACT and CINDERELLA, to name just a few of the highlights so far. On the latter note, Clark outlines her experiences in her most recent Broadway musical foray, that of the beloved Fairy Godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic CINDERELLA, as well as illuminates her acclaimed run in the Los Angeles transfer of the most recent revival of FOLLIES and her Sondheim work in general (SWEENEY TODD, too). Most importantly, Clark sheds some light on her compelling character in the new drama THE SNOW GEESE and relates candid stories of sharing the stage with co-stars and fellow vets Danny Burstein and Mary-Louise Parker, among others. The York Theatre Company will honor legendary Broadway and film composer Alan Menken with the Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre at the 22nd Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala to be held Monday, December 9, 2013 at The Hudson Theatre (145 West 44thStreet).

Hers is the show business saga you think you already know-but you ain't seen nothin' yet. Rose Thompson Hovick, mother of June Havoc and Gypsy Rose Lee, went down in theatrical history as 'The Stage Mother from Hell' after her immortalization on Broadway in Gypsy: A Musical Fable. Yet the musical was 75 percent fictionalized by playwright Arthur Laurents and condensed for the stage. Rose's full story is even more striking.

The tour of the smash hit Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY is coming to Wilmington, Delaware. WEST SIDE STORY will open at the DuPont Theatre from December 3-8, 2013 for eight (8) performances only. Tony Award-winning librettist Arthur Laurents' Broadway direction is recreated for the tour by David Saint, the Associate Director on Broadway. The original Jerome Robbins choreography is reproduced by Tony Award-nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz, The Life).

The Music Theatre Company (TMTC), Highland Park's critically-acclaimed Equity theatre, has announced its 2013-2014 season. The programming will feature a world premiere dance musical created and choreographed by Artistic Director Jessica Redish in June of 2014 and two musicals in the company's Chamber Musicals Series: Triumph of Love and Do I Hear a Waltz?.

Tickets for American Idiot, West Side Story, STOMP, Mamma Mia!, Blue Man Group, and Hal Holbrook In Mark Twain Tonight! at the National Theatre go on sale Monday, October 28.

An industry reading of Neurosis: A New Musical will be presented October 24-25 at Ripley-Grier Studios. Neurosis features a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards. Rice has written for television shows including "The New Adventures of Old Christine" on CBS and the upcoming Kelsey Grammer-Martin Lawrence Project on FX. Green is a veteran of Hasty Pudding Theatricals and a frequent orchestrator for Laurence O'Keefe (Heathers, Sarah Plain and Tall). Edwards, a two-time finalist for the Fred Ebb Award, has collaborated with Marvin Hamlisch and Arthur Laurents.
