Sonia Friedman Productions have today released a new show image for Conor McPherson's (The Weir, Girl from the North Country) new adaptation of Uncle Vanya directed by Ian Rickson (Jerusalem, The Seagull) which begins previews in eight weeks' time.

Midsommer Flight's popular perennial intimate production of Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, performed alley style amid the flowers of the Lincoln Park Conservatory's beautiful Show House Room, will return with a new cast for its fifth year. Performances will be December 5 a?" 22, 2019. Midsommer Flight company member Dylan S. Roberts, who earned raves for his staging of the company's 2017 production, will return to helm the 2019 edition.

Mint Theater Company Producing Artistic Director Jonathan Bank today announced that before Mint presets the World Premiere pairing of Chekhov/Tolstoy: Love Stories, adapted for the stage by Miles Malleson (playwright of the acclaimed Mint productions Conflict and Yours Unfaithfully), Mint will present a staged reading of Malleson's first full-length play Youth, for one night only on Monday October 28th at 7:30pm at Theater Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). Matt Dickson directs a cast featuring Kate Abruzzese, Donald Corren, Margaret Daly, Christian DeMarais, Andrew Fallaize, Michael Frederic, Alex Mandell, Brenda Meaney, Ned Noyes, and Tommy Schrider.

Critically-acclaimed Hollywood theatre company The New American Theatre (NAT) will present Anton Chekhov's masterpiece Uncle Vanya, directed by Artistic Director Jack Stehlin, who recently was honored along with managing director/producer Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin with a career achievement award from Stage Raw. Subtitled 'Scenes from a Country Life in Four Acts,' Uncle Vanya is adapted by the company from a translation by Constance Garnett. Opening weekend begins Friday November 1 at 8pm.

Mint Theater Company Producing Artistic Director Jonathan Bank today announced the World Premiere pairing of Chekhov/Tolstoy: Love Stories, adapted for the stage by Miles Malleson (Conflict, Yours Unfaithfully), directed by Jonathan Bank & Jane Shaw. Performances will begin January 23rd and continue through March 14th only at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for February 10th. Cast will be announced shortly.

Arlekin Players Theatre presents Anton Chekhov's tragic comedy The Seagull , featuring members of the Arlekin company performing alongside four of Boston's favorite professional actors Anne Gottlieb** (Irina Arkadina), Dev Luthra (Pyotr Sorin), Nael Nacer** (Boris Trigorin), and Eliott Purcell** (Konstantin Treplev), in a newly adapted version of the play conceived  and directed by Igor Golyak. The new script translation is by Ryan McKittrick and Julia Smeliansky with Chekhov's letters used in the script translated by Laurence Senelick. 

Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts continues its 2019-2020 Theatre + Dance Season with one of Anton Chekhov's most significant plays THREE SISTERS. The production runs Oct. 17-27 at NKU's Stauss Theatre.

Tickets go on general sale from Monday 30th September with priority booking from Wednesday 25th September.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) opens its 70th season with Anton Chekhov's a?oeThe Cherry Orcharda?? adapted by Jean-Claude van Itallie. John Miller-Stephany will direct. The lights dim. Joseph Lyle Dunn, who we later learn is portraying Conrad, the play's protagonist, comes stage center and says, 'The play will begin when someone says: 'Start the f**king play.'' As if on cue, a member of the audience yells, 'Start the f**king play,' and it does!

Kansas City Repertory Theatre (KCRep), announced the full schedule for this season's popular Monday Night Playwright Series, which opened with BURIED ROOTS, its first play of the series, on Monday. The series features a line-up of new and returning playwrights including Michelle Tyrene Johnson, Darren Canady, James Still, Migdalia Cruz, Mashuq Mushtaq Deen and Ellen McLaughlin. These free public events take place on the UMKC campus at the Spencer Theatre Donor Lounge.
