Hoy 15 de septiembre, Stage Entertainment ha anunciado el estreno en el West End londinense de TINA, musical basado en la vida de Tina Turner.

Today, 15 September 2017, Stage Entertainment are pleased to confirm that TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, will open at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018. Performances will begin on 21 March 2018 with press night on 17 April 2018. TINA is initially booking to 16 June 2018.

Winners for the 2017 Chita Rivera Awards were announced this evening at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

As BroadwayWorld reported back in December, a new musical based on music legend Tina Turner's story is currently in the works across the pond in the UK.

Bebe Neuwirth (two-time Tony and Emmy award winner; Chicago, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity,'Cheers,' 'Frasier') will host the Chita Rivera Awards, taking place at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 W. 45th Street) on Monday, September 11 at 7:30 pm, it was announced today by Nikki Feirt Atkins, founder and producing artistic director of American Dance Machine of the 21st Century.

MAMMA MIA! officially ended it's farewell tour this past weekend, and it was interesting to see the audience reaction to a show I've seen at least six times. But, I'm a critic. The appeal is obvious really, it's a simple story (book by Catherine Johnson) that allows you to enjoy the undeniably catchy Swedish pop of ABBA (music and lyrics of Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Stig Anderson). With the length of time that it's been touring, nationally and internationally, there's no doubt that generations will grow up knowing and loving this music, which, at the time, seemed like a passing fad back in the 1970's and 80's, although I'm not ashamed to admit I own their greatest hits vol. 1 and 2, most of which shows up in the score. The touring show that graced the stage of the Fox Theatre this past weekend (July 28-30) put on a splendid production, as engaging and charming as we've come to expect, and brimming with enough good humor to please everyone.

For two nights only, the 'Farewell Tour' of MAMMA MIA brings the beloved jukebox musical back to Richmond. The Altria Theater is the second to last stop on the 10-month 'final' American tour for this crowd-pleasing production.

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' smash-hit musical MAMMA MIA! returns to Starlight Theatre for one weekend only - Friday, June 23 through Sunday, June 25.

After 15 years on the road, the national touring production of MAMMIA MIA! will play its final performances at the Fabulous Fox in St Louis July 28 - 30.

The Dance in Film nominations for the 2017 Chita Rivera Awards were announced today at a reception at The Lambs Club. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered films that opened during the 2016-2017 theater season.

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, plays the Thrasher-Horne Center on June 20th, 2017 as a part of its final farewell tour. This performance will be the hugely successful musical's last Florida date, as well as the tenth to last engagement before the casts takes its final bows. After closing a 14-year run on Broadway in September 2015, this will be the American public's last chance to see this electrifying musical in its original tour.

Broadway Across America - Ft. Lauderdale presents the Farewell Tour of the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 20 year old Sophie is planning to marry, and wants her father to be present to give her away. Unfortunately, she does not know who her father is. After reading her mother's diary, she concludes he is one of three men, so she invites all of them to her wedding, on the Greek Island on which she lives with her still single mother, in the hopes of sorting it out.

MAMMA MIA! opened at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on May 12 and will continue to play through May 14. It is an effervescent, energizing and spirited show that is nothing short of delightful.
