Emmy Award-Winning Acting Coach for Nickelodeon To Give Masterclass at Rising Starz Music and Performance Academy

Sarahi Diaz, the on-set acting coach for the stars of Nickelodeon's Every Witch Way, Talia in the Kitchen and WITS Academy, will conduct an audition masterclass for children and teens on Sunday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This workshop will take place at Rising Starz Music and Performance Academy, located at 5400 S. University Drive, Suite 101 in Davie.

Producer Suzi Dietz announced today that on the heels of its successful run in Los Angeles, Miss America's Ugly Daughter written and performed by Bess Myerson's only child, Barra Grant, will open in New York this winter. Miss America's Ugly Daughter is a darkly comedic, poignant two character solo show about the seismic mother-daughter relationship of Bess Myerson and Barra Grant and will be directed by Eve Brandstein.

BRIC, Brooklyn's leading presenter of arts and cultural programming, is pleased to announce the recipients of the first Colene Brown Art Prize, which awards ten under-recognized New York-based visual artists with $10,000 unrestricted grants. The Colene Brown Art Prize is underwritten by artist and BRIC Board Member Deborah Brown in memory of her late mother, Colene Brown, and is funded through the Harold and Colene Brown Family Foundation.

Mosaic Theater Company of DC presents the second offering in its 'Stages of Awakening' Season 5 with the American premiere of Theory by Norman Yeung, directed by Associate Artistic Director, Victoria Murray Baatin, making her Mosaic directorial debut.  The play, Winner of Canada's Herman Voaden National Playwriting Competition and produced to acclaim at Toronto's Tarragon Theatre last fall, runs at the Atlas Performing Arts Center from October 23 through November 17, 2019.  Opening press night takes place Monday, October 28 at 7:30 pm following 5 preview performances, including a full Pay-What-You- Can performance October 23, with additional Pay-What-You-Can tickets available throughout the preview period. 

Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation Hosts Gala at Cosmopolitan Club

Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation will mark its 16th anniversary during an annual gala hosted in the Grand Ballroom of the Cosmopolitan Club. This year's benefit committee led by Gala Co-Chairs: Jonah Bokaer, Celia Chou, Dorothy Tapper Goldman, William & Helen Little, and Paul McCann aim to raise $150,000 to support a diverse program that advances interdisciplinary dance, art, and live performance in the U.S. and internationally. Funds will be used to sustain two arts facilities in New York City, and one in Hudson, NY. During the evening's events Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation will highlight the achievements of three honorees in Grantmaking, Innovative in Choreography, and a special tribute to Mayor of Hudson, NY Rick Rector who championed The Hudson Eye inaugural festival, programed by Bokaer's foundation.

Full Company Announced For Theatr Clwyd's MOLD RIOTS

Theatr Clwyd today announces further details for the world première of Bethan Marlow's Mold Riots, which will see a community and professional cast bring one of Wales' forgotten dark days to life on the streets of Mold in a large-scale promenade production with locations including Mold Town Council Chamber, Mold cattle market and St Mary's Church. Katie Posner directs Gethin Alderman (Robat), Lauren Fitzpatrick (Margaret), Amy Forrest (Ailis), and Kai Owen (David), alongside a community cast of over 100 from ages 7 to 87, including 30 children.

Darren Star's Paramount Network Series EMILY IN PARIS Rounds Out Cast

French actors Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Camille Razat and Bruno Gouery have been cast as series regulars in Darren Star's newest scripted series, Emily in Paris, starring Golden Globe-nominated Lily Collins. Kate Walsh (The Umbrella Academy, 13 Reasons Why, Girls Trip and Grey's Anatomy), in a recurring role, will play Emily's (Collins) co-worker and mentor who still lives in Chicago. William Abadie and Arnaud Viard also join the cast in recurring roles. Previously announced Tony Award-nominated actress, Ashley Park, rounds out the list of series regulars in the 10-episode half-hour dramedy. The Paramount Network series is currently in production in Paris, France.
