Glimmerglass Film Days Brings Films, Art, Filmmakers To Cooperstown, NY

Glimmerglass Film Days will offer five days of independent films, events, art, and filmmaker talks, November 7-11 in Cooperstown. 'Adaptations' is the theme of the seventh annual film festival, which will be held in multiple locations, including the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Fenimore Art Museum, and the Otesaga Hotel. A record number of 37 films will be shown.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Announces Live Music Appeal

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary Season in 2019-2020, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) will embark on a Live Music Appeal to help sustain live music at PBT performances for the next 50 years. The appeal will raise $7.2 million by 2022 to ensure that the level of live music that PBT audiences have come to expect at performances each year will continue for the next generation.

DIRECTV Acquires North American Rights to HUMAN CAPITAL With Marisa Tomei & Liev Schreiber

Vertical Entertainment and DIRECTV have acquired the North American distribution rights to Human Capital following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Starring Oscar-award winner Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Big Short), Liev Schreiber (Spotlight, a?oeRay Donovana??), Peter Sarsgaard (The Magnificent Seven, Blue Jasmine), and Maya Hawke (Stranger Things, Once Upon A Timea??in Hollywood), the film focuses on the lives of two families from different socio-economic backgrounds who collide when their children begin a relationship that leads to a tragic accident. Also starring Aasif Mandvi (Million Dollar Arm, Margin Call) and Alex Wolff (Hereditary, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). The release is planned for Q2 2020.

Take Villanueva himself: a dazzling soloist with sparkling technique and facility that puts him in Sylvie Guillem's league, at 5 foot 2 inches, his atypical height all but barred him from working with major companies. His response to that exclusion was to create BalaSole, a showcase for talented, atypical dancers.

The first of five anonymous celebrities took to the stage for opening night of Intangible Adorations: Experience The Icon on Saturday October 12th to the delight of a select audience of VIP guests. The show explores the impact of celebrity worship on the mental health of the famous, and those who become infatuated with celebrity. Audience members gathered in the Hall of Celebrity, watched a VIP screening of a short film about the creation of The ICON, and then encountered a celebrity whose identity was concealed in a morph suit who revealed their deepest secrets connected to their own mental health in the Red Chapel. On Saturday, the ICON nearly revealed their identity. Although they did not remove the morph suit, they did pose for photographs and signed autographs to allow guests a chance to try and guess out who it was.

Emmy Award-Winning Acting Coach for Nickelodeon To Give Masterclass at Rising Starz Music and Performance Academy

Sarahi Diaz, the on-set acting coach for the stars of Nickelodeon's Every Witch Way, Talia in the Kitchen and WITS Academy, will conduct an audition masterclass for children and teens on Sunday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This workshop will take place at Rising Starz Music and Performance Academy, located at 5400 S.
