What did our critic think of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH at DAS VINDOBONA? The Glam-Rock Musical Sensation with Music and Lyrics by Stephen Trask and a Book by John Cameron Mitchell is back in Austria for a limited run at the Vindobona. What a way to start the year. After Hedwig's first appearance in 2006, starring Andreas Bieber in the Leading Role and Anke Fielder as Yitzhak and the highly acclaimed production at the Landestheater Linz with Riccardo Greco in Heels and Ariana Schirasi-Fard as his Backup-Singer it's Drew Sarich together with his wife Ann Mandrella, to tell the story of Hansel Schmidt and his Angry Inch.

Ready for a new year full of splendid shows and numerous Opening Nights. Here is my short list of some of this year's recommendable shows you can't miss.

What did our critic think of DAS VINDOBONA SEASON PRESENTATION at Das Vindobona? Summer is coming to an end, and theatres all over the country are ready to welcome back their audiences. So did Wolfgang Ebner, head of DAS VINDOBONA, a place already known for its diversly entertaining program.

THE SECRET PARTY has landed in Austria. Wolfgang Ebners VINDOBONA transformed into a 1968 Paris Night Club. The One Person Musical revue, written for four Characters is an homage to the Master of Modern Chansons, Jacques Brel. His music inspired millions of people and artists like David Bowie.

The magical masterpiece from Stephen Sondheim ( Music and Lyrics) and James Lapine (Book) is coming back to Austria for 12 nights only in 2020. Maya Hakvoort (Elisabeth, Evita, Fantine, Norma Desmond, and many others) gathered together some of the finest artists for one of the must-see events next summer. Linda Hold and Birgit Noisternig ( Choreography), Dean Welterlen (Director) and Jeff Frohner (Musical Director) are taking care of Sondheims not so fairy tale. Into the Woods/ Ab in den Wald (German lyrics by Michael Kunze) is a very unusual choice for a summer production. Apart from cheesy funny shows, Maya Hakvoort is showing some guts for putting on such a pretentious show. Hakvoort is not only producing the show she is also playing the Witch, accompanied by Ann Mandrella ( the Baker's Wife), Reinwald Kranner ( the Baker), Jan Amann ( the Wolf, Prince), Andreas Kammerzelt ( Stepmother, Prince), Eve Rades ( Cinderella), Missy May ( Little Red Ridding Hood), Nazide Aylin ( Rapunzel), Matthias Trattner ( Jack), Inez Timmer ( Jacks Mother and others), Thomas Weissengruber ( The Narrator), Stephanie Rieger ( Stepsister) and Silke Braas-Wolter (Stepsister). On July 6th, Raven Symone visited her 'That's So Raven' co-star Anneliese van der Pol backstage at Disney's Beauty and the Beast, in which van der Pol stars as Belle.

Anneliese van der Pol (Disney Channel's 'That's So Raven'), who is making her Broadway debut as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, will be discussing her starring role on Broadway and performing a number from the show on 'Live with Regis & Kelly' on Tuesday, July 3rd between 9am - 10am
