To celebrate a new cast and its second year in the West End, Sonia Friedman Productions has today released brand new production photography for the critically acclaimed, multi award-winning musical Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre in London, which is currently booking through to 2nd June 2018.

Marisha Wallace is taking over the role of Effie White, alongside Moya Angela and Karen May, in the West End Dreamgirls from 20 November, after being one of the Effie alternates. She's also performing two London concerts at Charing Cross Theatre on 3 December to celebrate the release of her debut album, Soul Holiday.

Sonia Friedman Productions' UK premiere of Dreamgirls, which opened last December at the Savoy Theatre is currently running through 2nd June 2018 in the West End. From 20th November 2017, Moya Angela will join Marisha Wallace and Karen Mav to play the iconic role of Effie White in Dreamgirls. In the video below, go backstage with the show's new Effies!

In addition to producing great theatre works, Primary Stages produced one of this season's most exciting Galas. The 2017 event, celebrating Artistic Honorees Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty, Producer Honorees Janet B. Rosen & Marvin Rosen, and Corporate Honorees Jose Mendez and Katie Graziano, was a glamorous and talent-filled evening at Tribeca 360 with a full view of lower Manhattan as a backdrop to the festivities.

Maestro Luke Frazier and the American Pops Orchestra - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - honored the 75th birthday of one of the country's most treasured legends with 'Respect: The Music of Aretha Franklin' to kick off their star-studded third season. The concert was conceived by the APO's Founder and conductor Frazier - who led the 19-piece orchestra - performing at the Orchestra's new home, Arena Stage at The Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth Street SW) on Saturday, September 16. Witness Uganda - a documentary musical that follows co-creator Griffin Matthews' transformative story establishing UgandaProject, an organization that sponsors the education of ten Ugandan orphans - was the focus of a closed new work reading presented by The ASCAP Foundation at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) in Beverly Hills on Monday, September 11. Ella Fitzgerald is turning 100 and to celebrate her life and legacy, the DC Youth Orchestra Program (DCYOP) and The American Pops Orchestra (APO) are partnering once again.
