The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the first performance in front of a live audience on one of the Center's famed stages in more than six months.

A Time to Sing: An Evening with Renée Fleming and Vanessa Williams, will explore the healing power of the performing arts and the resilience and hope needed in our current time through a very personal collection of songs performed by Fleming and Williams. 

Renée Fleming's long and distinguished career includes performing in some of the world's most famous opera houses, performing on Broadway, and being heard on many recordings singing everything from arias to showtunes. Tonight Ms. Fleming will add another honor to her canon as she and Vanessa Williams will become the first artists to perform a live indoor concert onstage at Kennedy Center's Opera House. The evening is entitled A Time to Sing: An Evening with Renée Fleming and Vanessa Williams. Music Academy of the West announces the appointment of Casey Molino Dunn to the administration's Artistic Operations department in the role of Vice President of Innovation and Program Development. His responsibility will be to oversee the execution and expansion of a year-round Innovation Institute comprised of annual Alumni Enterprise Awards, a five-day Innovation Residential, Summer School and Festival curriculum, and Fast Pitch Awards. His focus will be the creation of career-launching opportunities and professional development for all Academy fellows and alumni, as well as teaching as a faculty artist.

Stars in the House continues today (8pm) with a John & Jen reunion! John & Jen is a musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Lippa and Greenwald. It is a two-person show about the relationships first between a brother and sister, John and Jen, and then, after John is killed, between Jen and her son, also named John.
