Broadway Green Alliance Unveils New Contest for College Students

The Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) has launched a new contest to reward College Green Captains for their efforts to create greener productions on college campuses. Winners will have brought innovative, creative, or widely-applied greening and energy-efficient methods into the design or production of theatre at their campus.

Wright (High Fidelity, Hands on a Hardbody, Next to Normal, Assassins, Grease, I Love My Wife), directed by New Line Theatre associate artistic director Mike Dowdy.

Les Freres Corbusier has announced its return to off-off-Broadway with a special workshop production of Here's Hoover! The Historic Herbert Hoover 2014 Comeback Special, written by Sean Cunningham, with songs by Michael Friedman and directed by Alex Timbers, beginning tonight, December 5 at 8:00 pm at Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand Street. The workshop production runs through Sunday, December 21.

This December Company of Fools (COF), a proud part of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, invites you to set sail with a wildly theatrical, hilarious and innovative retelling of how a miserable orphan came to be Peter Pan! According to an article on Slate, Stanford University students responded to the cancellation of their production of the satirical musical BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON with a cabaret called DID WE OFFEND YOU? The new show premiered last weekend to a sold-out audience and featured controversial tunes from musicals including RENT, THE PRODUCERS and, of course, 'ANDREW JACKSON'.
