And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to Daniel Davis, who turns 69 today, S. Epatha Merkerson, who hits 62 on Friday, and Ryan Murphy, who celebrates his 49th birthday on Sunday!

Davis, well known as 'Niles' from the TV series The Nanny, last appeared on Broadway in La Cage aux Folles, and before that, in The Frogs, The Invention of Love, Wrong Mountain (which earned him a Tony nod in 2000), Amadeus, Othello and King Henry V.

Merkerson, who starred in TV's Law & Order for nearly two decades, has appeared on Broadway in Come Back, Little Sheba, The Piano Lesson and Tintypes. She just finished a run off-Broadway in Billy Porter's While I Yet Live.

Murphy is the creator of the cult TV series Nip/Tuck, GLEE and American Horror Story, as well as the film adaptation of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart.
