The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® announces its jury line-up for this year's Festival Awards. The San Diego International Film Festival (SDiFF), produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, announced today that they have honored Emmy-nominee Kathryn Hahn, star of Tamara Jenkins' “Private Life” with the Fairbanks Award, to honor her contribution to independent film, John Cho, star of “Searching,” with the Spotlight Award which recognizes an actor with the tenacity to forge new ground within their craft, and Christian Navarro, from the Gala Feature “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” with the Rising Star Award. The awards will be presented October 11th at The Night of the Stars Tribute at the Pendry San Diego in Downtown San Diego, CA.

The Standoff at Sparrow Creek will make its world premiere at Midnight Madness at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. Dawn King's Foxfinder will have its West End premiere at the Ambassadors Theatre from 6 September 2018 for a strictly limited season until 5 January 2019. Olivier Award-winner Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones' Ramsay Bolton, Misfits) will star in the unsettling and darkly comic drama directed by Rachel O'Riordan whose production of Killology at the Royal Court won the 2018 Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre. Bill Kenwright presents the inaugural Classic Screen to Stage Theatre Company production of RAIN MAN. Mathew Horne (Gavin & Stacey, The Catherine Tate Show) stars as Raymond Babbit opposite Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall) as Charlie Babbit. RAIN MAN opens at Windsor Theatre Royal on 21 August, before embarking on a UK tour to Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Eastbourne, Southend, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Brighton, Guildford, Leeds, Richmond, Derby and Northampton. On Thursday, May 31, Rooftop Films will present the New York Premiere of Nancy, filmmaker Christina Choe's Andrea Riseborough-starring thriller that took home the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. The event, which is free with an RSVP, will take place outdoors at MetroTech Commons in Downtown Brooklyn, and include a live musical performance. Choe– who received the 2014 Rooftop Films and Eastern Effects Equipment Grant to complete the film –will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A.
The 11th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival, partnered with CineVegas,announced this morning the initial programming lineup for the 2018 Festival, to be held at Brenden Theatres and Palms Casino Resort June 6 – 10. The lineup includes a mix of feature films and documentaries that have been favorites on the international festival circuit, as well as new additions to this year's Festival - live discussions and live comedy. 2018 also marks the first year with seasoned film festival programming veteran Mike Plante serving as the Festival's Captain of Strategy.
