The Skivvies are having a release party for their debut single, 'Hardbody Hoedown,' a bluegrass-tinged parody mega-medley of hip-hop songs about body parts. This will take place at the newly re-launched Cutting Room (44 E. 32nd St.) on Monday, October 29 at 7:30.

Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 14, goes on sale Friday, October 19 with the voices of major talents, including Ricky Martin, Chita Rivera, Cyndi Lauper and more.

Broadway Records and 54 BELOW announced today that they have joined in partnership to create a series of albums recorded live at the brand new venue, 54 BELOW, located just steps away from the heart of Times Square. The album series will kick off with Patti LuPone and Andrea McArdle's recordings to be released on December 11th, 2012 and Norbert Leo Butz's recording due on January 15th, 2013. Patti LuPone's album will be produced by six-time Grammy nominee, Robert Sher, who previously worked with Patti on the Gypsy 2008 Broadway Cast Recording. The Andrea McArdle and Norbert Leo Butz albums will be produced by Aaron Ankrum, who worked with Broadway Records on Laura Osnes' "Dream A Little Dream" album. All three albums will be executive produced by Van Dean and Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium, and Ken Mahoney.

Last night, October 9, The Iriduim Jazz Club welcomed Nicholas King, winner of the 2010 Julie Wilson Award and the 2012 Bistro Award for Outstanding Performer. King voiced the character of "Oscar" in Discovery Kids' "Kenny The Shark", and has opened for his mentor Liza Minnelli across the US since 2006. Constructed in 1996 on the campus of The Community School of Naples, the intimate 250-seat G&L Theatre has a professional-quality sound and lighting systems, dressing rooms and costume area. The G&L is unique in its intimacy and that it offers a balcony composed entirely of opera box style seating and terraced seats that wrap around the front of the curved stage.

Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton added his voice to the 2012 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 14, singing an original song called 'A Perez Hilton Christmas,' with music by Lynn Pinto & Jason Michael Webb, and lyrics by George Howe & Frances Limoncelli. Perez Hilton is making his New York stage debut in the comical off-Broadway revue "NEWSical the Musical."

The Media Theatre held a fundraising Season Preview Event in Rose Valley Saturday September 22. The evening featured the premier unveiling of the professional music theatre's new Cunningham baby grand piano. Resident music director Tom Fosnocht christened the piano as the supreme vocals of Broadway's Tony nominated actress Ann Crumb filled the main room of the home of Lee and Carol Thaler Roberts. The legendary musical group Sha Na Na kicks off Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston's fall concert season with a rollicking afternoon of classic Doo Wop and 1950s rock 'n' roll today, September 22 at 2 p.m. in the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington Street, Waltham.
