Two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway composer William Finn will appear in Palm Springs on March 16, 2013 in 'Heart and Music: A Conversation With and Tribute To William Finn'. The man behind such Broadway hits as FALSETTOS and THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE as well as A NEW BRAIN and ELEGIES: A SONG CYCLE and more will be the 2103 recipient of Desert Ensemble Theatre Company's Melpomai Award, given annually to honor excellence in the development of theater nationally.

For those craving a show after the show, 54 BELOW, the new performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, offers its Tuesday night cocktail party/songfest, 'Backstage.' Special guest stars on December 18th include performances by singer, stage, television & film star Andrea McArdle, the original Little Orphan Annie from hit musical Annie, Gregg Edelman Tony nominee for Into the Woods, Naturi Naughton, featured in the films 'Fame' and 'Notorious' and on television, 'The Client List' and NBC's 'The Playboy Club,' Gene Reed, from The Dan Band and The Tonics, and Sheri Sanders, featured in Urinetown and author/coach of 'Rock The Audition.'

Broadway legend Andrea McArdle has two new albums set for release on Broadway Records. The first, '70s and Sunny: Live At 54 BELOW', was recorded during her triumphant debut at the new Broadway hotspot 54 BELOW and will be released today, December 11, 2012. The second recording, 'Calendar Dream', is an exciting new project that teams Andrea up with a stellar array of Broadway's most awarded writers to journey though a year of a woman's life.

Tony nominee and Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, joined the cast of NEWSical The Musical- the ever-evolving musical of all the news that's fit to spoof. Last night was McArdle's final performance, and the cast treated her with a surprise appearance in 'Annie' costumes. Check it out below!

The Foundling just hosted a pre-performance reception at The Palace Theatre featuring a special performance by students from The Foundling's charter school in the South Bronx, who serenaded ANNIE composer Charles Strouse with their own rendition of "Tomorrow." Among the 500 New York Foundling friends and supporters expected at today's December 2nd 3:00 PM performance of "Annie the Musical," will be Staten Island based Foundling families, many of whom have never seen a Broadway show, and who have been trying to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue its Fall 2012 season with two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy award-nominated entertainer Michael Feinstein. Celebrating the release of his new book The Gershwins and Me and a CD of twelve Gershwin songs, Michael will perform "A Gershwin Holiday."
