Tony nominee and Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, joined the cast of NEWSical The Musical- the ever-evolving musical of all the news that's fit to spoof. Last night was McArdle's final performance, and the cast treated her with a surprise appearance in 'Annie' costumes. Check it out below!

The Foundling just hosted a pre-performance reception at The Palace Theatre featuring a special performance by students from The Foundling's charter school in the South Bronx, who serenaded ANNIE composer Charles Strouse with their own rendition of "Tomorrow." 59E59 Theaters welcomes Front Page Productions with FLIPSIDE: THE PATTI PAGE STORY, written and directed by Greg White, and featuring 28 of Patti Page's hit songs. FLIPSIDE: THE PATTI PAGE STORY begins performances on Tuesday, December 18 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 30. Press Opening is Friday, December 21 at 8 PM.
According to an Equity casting notice, Broadway veteran Andrea McArdle will take on the title role in MAME twice this spring. The show will play at Pennsylvania's Media Theatre (4/17- 5/19) and Bucks County Playhouse (5/22-6/9).
Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU), now celebrating its 21st year as a not-for-profit service organization, has announced a lineup of Broadway stars performing at their annual TRU Love Benefit, Making the Impossible Possible!. The previously announced honorees include producer Van Dean of The Broadway Consortium; director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell for his work with Broadway Bares; and legendary downtown entrepreneur Edith O'Hara and the 13th Street Repertory Company. The event will take place tonight, November 11th at the brand new midtown Lucky Cheng's at 240 W. 52nd Street, with generous sponsorship support from Peroni Beer, The Players Theatre, Pure Audio Systems and open captioning for people with hearing loss provided by C2 Caption Coalition. The festivities begin at noon with wine, drinks and appetizers served as only the Lucky Cheng's girls can serve them, followed by a luncheon at 1pm and the awards ceremony and performances at 2pm.
