It’s a tricky show in every sense of the word: the themes are very heavy, with little levity, and the plot is often hard to keep track of, as new details about the characters’ past are gradually added. The result is a very bleak, emotionally fraught production that’s difficult to unpick.

For All I Care, performed by Welsh actress Hannah Daniel, best known for Hinterland, Holby City and Keeping Faith and here making her Fringe debut, and written by Alan Harris, whose previous highly acclaimed work presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe includes Sugar Baby and How My Light is Spent, is one of two productions from National Theatre Wales to be performed at Summerhall throughout Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019.

National Theatre Wales are delighted to announce an island of Ireland tour of Cotton Fingers, written by award-winning writer Rachel Trezise and starring Northern Irish actor, Amy Molloy. This timely, politically-charged production, written during the referendum to repeal the 8th amendment in Ireland in 2018, will tour to venues in Belfast, Derry~Londonderry, Dublin and Bray from 22 May until 8 June 2019, marking one year since the historic referendum took place.

On the surface, the plot of CYPRUS AVENUE is just a little too weird to take seriously, and that's one of the strengths of David Ireland's creepy drama, as director Vicky Featherstone, Artistic Director of London's Royal Court, seamlessly transitions the piece from cerebral exploration to dark comedy to a sickeningly violent ending.

The new play, written by David Ireland and directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone, features Stephen Rea, who last performed at The Public in 2008 in Sam Shepard's Kicking a Dead Horse. The run at The Public follows encore engagements at Dublin's Peacock Stage at the Abbey Theatre (April 30-May 19) and the MAC in Belfast (May 23-26).
