The Merry Wives of Windsor is on stage at Folger Theatre from January 14 through March 1, 2020.

Folger Theatre concludes its successful 2019/20 season with The Merry Wives of Windsor. Aaron Posner (King John, The Winter's Tale, Twelfth Night at Folger Theatre) returns to the Folger to direct Shakespeare's delightful comedy on love, money, deception, and the power of women, set here in the early 1970s.

When the mischievous Falstaff overestimates his own scheming prowess and underestimates the savvy wives in the town of Windsor, hilarity is ahead. For two weeks only Luna Stage will present Ami Brabson's newest cabaret A Change is Gonna Come. The show opens this Friday, December 6th at 8pm and runs through Sunday December 15. TheaterWorks Producing Artistic Director Rob Ruggiero announced today the cast and creative team for AMERICAN SON, the first play of the theater's 34th season. The cast includes Ami Brabson, J Anthony Crane, John Ford Dunker and Michael Genet all making their TheaterWorks debut. AMERICAN SON is the first play to open in the theater's newly renovated space and runs October 18 through November 23, 2019. Press Night is Thursday October 24th at 7:30.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) will present Curve of Departure by Rachel Bonds in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, from August 8 - 18. The production is directed by Keira Naughton making her CTC debut.

Actor Joel Ripka was cited for Outstanding Solo Performance Piece for Every Brilliant Thing (written by Duncan Macmillian with Jonny Donahoe, and directed by CTC Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer.) Every Brilliant Thing was also named the year's Outstanding New Play or Musical.
