The Paley Center for Media today announced that it will pay tribute to Kerry Washington with the special program Celebrating Kerry Washington: Conversation & Exclusive Preview Screening of Little Fires Everywhere. The program will take place on Tuesday, March 17 at 7:30 pm.

San Francisco Playhouse presents Real Women Have Curves by Josefina López. Diane Rodriguez will direct the Playhouse production. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the play, which premiered at San Francisco's Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts on May 25, 1990. The play was adapted into an acclaimed 2002 film starring America Ferrera.

The 24 Hour Plays announced today that they will launch The 24 Hour Plays: Live Podcast! The first two of six episodes planned for 2020 will be recorded in front of a live audience at The Greene Space on Monday, March 16th at 8:00 PM.

Netflix has released the trailer for the new series Gentefied. Created by two Chicano first-gen writers, Gentefied is a half-hour dramatic comedy adapted from the 2017 Sundance digital darling of the same name. In this badass bilingual series about family, community, brown love, and the displacement that disrupts it all, three Mexican-American cousins struggle to chase the American Dream, even while that same dream threatens the things they hold most dear: their neighborhood, their immigrant grandfather, and the family taco shop. Set in a rapidly changing Los Angeles, the Spanglish dramedy will navigate important themes like identity, class, and balancing insta-fame with translating memes for their parents. But most importantly, Gentefied will settle once and for all how to pronounce Latinx.
