Theatrical Outfit continues its 2018-2019 Season of Beauty with the return of our smash holiday hit, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, Decatur native Lauren Gunderson and co-writer Margot Melcon's sparkling and romantic sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. This year, four new actors join the cast - three of whom will make their Theatrical Outfit debuts. This spring, Theatrical Outfit proudly presents 110 in the Shade, the sizzling Broadway musical adaptation of the beloved classic play The Rainmaker by N. Richard Nash with music and lyrics from the duo behind The Fantasticks, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones. Directed by Artistic Director Tom Key with musical direction by S. Renee Clark (Big Fish, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill) and choreography by Angela Harris, The Outfit's 110 in the Shade features a diverse ensemble of fifteen performers and concludes Theatrical Outfit's 2017- 2018 Season of Character.

William Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, the granddaddy of all rom-coms, is the story of two courtships: Benedick and Beatrice, both too stubborn and clever for their own good, and Claudio and Hero, both too innocent and naive to not be taken advantage of by the resident villain. It's a classic for a reason, which means that companies mount productions of it all the time. So the question then, when the Rice Theatre Program decides to do a production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, is what are they going to bring to the already crowded table?

Rice University will present Much Ado About Nothing: a romantic romp set in early Texas and filled with dashing cavalry, comedic cowboys, and women who 'speak poniards, and every word stabs.'
