54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Broadway veterans Amber Iman (Soul Doctor), Cedric Neal (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, After Midnight), Tamika Sonja Lawrence (If/Then), Clinton Roane (Scottsboro Boys), and Marcus Paul James (Rent, In The Heights) singing a concert of songs by composer/lyricist, Darius Smith at 54 Below, Tuesday, February 11.

Earlier this month, 54 Below featured Patty & Emily, who brought their special brand of fangirl enthusiasm off YouTube and to the stage! Along with music director Kevin David Thomas, the duo welcomed Julia Murney and Amber Iman, who duetted on one of their dream songs- 'Agony' from Into the Woods. On Monday, January 13th, 2014 producers Kimberly Loren Eaton and Alan Swanke presented a reading of Wild and Willful Women to a full house at Baruch Performing Arts Center's Engelman Recital Hall, as the kickoff event the 13th Annual TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series. This new musical is a tale of love, lust and witchcraft with book and lyrics by Bill Rogers and music by Daniel Doss. It was directed by Kimberly Loren Eaton, and music directed by Daniel Doss (national tours, The Addams Family and The Color Purple). Scroll down for photos!

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the 2014 Musical Reading Series on Monday, January 13, Monday, January 20, and February 3, 2014 at 7pm at the Engelman Recital Hall, Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Ave, NYC.

The winners of the 4th Annual Clive Barnes Award were announced Monday, January 6 at The Walter Reade Theatre, Lincoln Centre. This year's Theatre Award, presented by Susan Stroman was given to Jonny Orsini for his performance in The Nance. This year's Dance Award, presented by Wendy Whelan, was given to Lloyd Mayor of Martha Graham Dance Company.

On December 9th, contemporary composers Lyons and Pakchar celebrated the release of their debut album #Love (Live) in concert at Rockwood Music Hall. Click below for photos from the concert!

Susan Stroman and Wendy Whelan are set to host the 2014 Clive Barnes Awards, which will be held on January 6 (3pm), at the Walter Reade Theatre. This years' nominees for theatre are Aaron Clifton Moten for his performance in The Flick, Jonny Orsini for his performance in The Nance, Phillipa Soo for her performance in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, and Amber Iman for her performance in Soul Doctor. This year's nominees for dance are Talli Jackson (Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Company), Lloyd Mayor (Martha Graham Dance Company), Xiaochuan Xie (Martha Graham Dance Company), and Calvin Royal III(American Ballet THeatre.)

Today Contemporary musical theatre songwriters Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar have digitally released their debut album, '#Love (Live).

New composing team LYONS & PAKCHAR will digitally release their debut album #Love December 2nd! #Love ,an 11-song album that mixes pop, R&B and theatre, explores 'the good, bad and awkward roller coasters in human relationships. The two began collaborating while touring with 1st National Tour of The Book of Mormon. Douglas Lyons and actor onstage and Ethan Pakchar a guitarist in the orchestra.

The Clive Barnes Foundation has announced the nominees for the 2012 Clive Barnes Awards, a distinguished annual honor recognizing the work of young actors and dancers in New York City.

The 2013 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 15 is available in theaters starting this weekend! Lovers of Broadway talent can do some early holiday shopping as well as support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) through the purchase of this 2-disc, annual CD of original and traditional holiday music from the current 2013 Broadway line-up. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is taking pre-orders now for Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 15, and will be mailing the CDs out beginning November 1st.

The biggest Monday Musicals to date took place at XL Cabaret on Monday, October 21st. Revelers celebrated XL Promotional Director Dougie Meyer's birthday and sang and danced along to VJ Tony Built's music and visuals from some of Broadway's biggest shows, which could be viewed across a half-dozen screens throughout the club. Stars from the Broadway musicals Newsies, Motown The Musical, Godspell, Soul Doctor and American Idiot join musical pop songwriter, Joey Contreras for his return to Rockwood Music Hall on Sunday, November 3rd at 9PM. After playing a packed house earlier in August, the award-winning songwriter will be delivering a bigger band with more tunes from his upcoming album, Young Kind of Love.

In this week's edition, we caught up with Amber Iman, who is starring as 'Nina' in Soul Doctor- currently playing at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
