Today the Kennedy Center announces programming added to its comedy repertoire for the 2019-2020 season.

SoulPancake, the Participant Media (Spotlight, The Help) owned media and entertainment company originally founded by Rainn Wilson (The Office, The Meg), today announced the launch of “The Beautiful Mind” campaign, a multi-platform programming initiative, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month in May.  The month-long campaign will feature a mix of original video and social content, celebrity talent integrations and live events, anchored by It's Not That Funny, a documentary produced in partnership with Funny or Die.

The Kennedy Center brings the fun outdoors this summer with four free rooftop happy hours, taking place on Thursdays June 13, July 11, July 18, and August 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

ABFF Ventures announced today their selection of finalists who will compete at the 7th annual ABFF Comedy Wings Competition, presented by HBO. Last night, nine comedians competed in the ABFF Comedy Wings Semifinals Showcase held at the HaHa Comedy Club in Los Angeles, hosted by Chris Spencer.

 Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, Superfly, the founders behind Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands co-producer Another Planet Entertainment, today announced that Amy Poehler & Friends, Fred Armisen, Neal Brennan, and a live read of Clueless featuring Issa Rae, have been added to this year's Clusterfest lineup, joining an impressive roster including John Mulaney, Patton Oswalt, Leslie Jones, The Roots, Chelsea Peretti, Courtney Barnett, My Favorite Murder, and many more. Gilda's LaughFest today announced the addition of comedian Amanda Seales, who will perform on March 9 at 8pm at the Fountain Street Church as well as a sixth show for Matt Bellassai on Sunday, March 10 at 9pm. The Kennedy Center will present comedian, writer, and producer Amanda Seales in a three-night, multifaceted residency exploring the intersection of comedy, Hip Hop, and jazz.  In this first of its kind residency, Seales has created multi-genre performances that utilizes her witty commentary on culture to entertain and inform audiences.

NBC has named comedian Mike E. Winfield as the winner of its 15th annual StandUp NBC competition, the network's annual nationwide search for comedians of diverse backgrounds. Winfield has been awarded a talent holding deal with NBCUniversal and a headlining spot at the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) annual convention where he will perform for talent bookers from across the country. He will also headline the regional semi-finalist showcases for the 2019 StandUp NBC competition.
