Manipulating the action are the Don Alfonso of Christopher Maltman and the Despina of Tony Award-winner Kelli O'Hara, with Amanda Majeski, Serena Malfi, Ben Bliss, and Adam Plachetka as the pairs of young lovers who test each other's faithfulness. Stageworks Theatre is thrilled to announce its first show of the new season, Noises Off, by Michael Frayn, directed by Sean Thompson. The show will run August 25 through September 17, 2017 on Stageworks Theatre's Garza Mainstage. Written by English playwright Michael Frayne, Noises Off has been hailed as 'the funniest farce ever written.' It presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a theatre flop called Nothing's On. On and offstage intrigue and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classical comedy.

Odyssey Theatre Ensemble presents a revival of Joseph Kesserling's infectiously funny black comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. Directed by Elina de Santos, opening night is August 26 at the Odyssey Theatre.

The graduating class of Summer 2017 at Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts has launched into its final week of rehearsals for The Drowsy Chaperone. With every sound check, lighting cue and quick change, the vision of the show is coming closer to fruition and I can't help but feel immensely proud of how far we have come as a term since our journey here began two years ago. As we bid farewell to our school and brace ourselves to face the 'real world', I find solace in the bonds we have created, the stories we have shared (with each other and with audiences) and the life skills we have learned that will stay with us, regardless of the path we choose to follow. (And yes, we also learned about acting.)
