The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that jazz vocalist Jane Monheit will be performing swinging new Mary Ann McSweeney arrangements of the beloved Cole Porter classic, Anything Goes on Monday, September 19 at 7pm. Broadway leading man Marc Kudisch will be Jane's special guest.

Brooklyn Museum Presents Adult Public Programs in March and April

During March and April the Brooklyn Museum will present an array of public programs for adults including a panel discussion moderated by Gloria Steinem, a screening of the film Reel Injun, performances by jazz violinist Regina Carter and the Orchestra of St Luke's, a quilt-making workshop, and a new series of engaging adult programs that take place every Thursday evening.

The ensemble includes Regina Carter (violin), Yacouba Sissoko (kora), Adam Rogers (Guitar), Will Holshouser & Gary Versace (accordion), Chris Lightcap & Mamadou Ba (bass), and Alvester Garnett (drums & percussion).

The Miami Beach-based singer Nicole Henry continues her run of sold-out, monthly concerts at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, with her next three shows on Friday April 23, Friday May 14, Friday June 18, all at 9:45pm.

Nicole Henry, the sultry and soulful singer from Miami Beach, continues her steady rise to the top of New York's live music scene with her next two one-night stands at the white-hot Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street. Henry, whose monthly concerts have been drawing bigger and bigger crowds since she made her Metropolitan Room debut in May 2009, returns on Fridays March 19 at 7:30pm and April 23, at 9:45pm. These shows mark the 11th and 12th consecutive months Henry has performed on the Flatiron District's premiere stage for vocalists.
