The Green Plays, five new short plays by Hanna Cheek/Lauren Cregor Devine/Rodney Gardiner/Kevin Townley (Waterwell/ Goodbar), Meaghan Deans (Studio 42/ Ashore, Internet Famous), Jason Kim (Naked Angels/ HBO's Girls), Victor Lesniewski (F*It Club/ Cloven Tongues), and Chris Sullivan (EST/Youngblood/ Metro Cards).
The September Play Project, or #SPP, launches its inaugural year with a series of new works on the rooftop space of The Delancey, 168 Delancey Street, New York, NY 10002 on September 13th and 14, 2014. Both performances will be at 5 PM. The plays are all 6 minutes in length and set outdoors. The series was conceived by coproducers Jenny Gomez and Jessica Mazo. The aim of the Project is to provide a diverse set of artists with a comfortable platform where they can create, with full production support. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will be split evenly between all the playwrights, actors, and directors that have volunteered their time and talent for the project.

Performances will be Thursday, May 1st through Sunday, May 11th with Wednesday through Saturday night performances at 8pm and Sunday matinees at 2p.

Samuel French Inc. Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival announces the 40 semi-finalists for its 37th annual season. Chosen from over nine hundred submissions by playwriting workshops, university theatre programs, and professional companies both in the U.S. and abroad, these 40 plays will be presented October 23rd-27th with finals on Sunday October 28th at the Beckett Theatre, Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street). Out of these plays, six finalists will be chosen by the Samuel French, Inc. editorial staff to receive publication and licensing contracts.
