In October 2019, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz released his new holiday album, Gifts of the Season. In the 11-track collection, Koz takes a very different stylistic approach, bringing a buoyant, soul/funk/pop feel to Christmas classics across different eras, and shedding new light on their rich musicality and lyrical depth. The accompanying 22nd annual Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour will feature Jonathan Butler, Melissa Manchester, Michael Lington, and special guest Chris Walker, all of which appear on the new album. Butler and Lington have also released new Christmas albums this fall, so in a first for the tour, the show will feature material from three brand new holiday albums.

Kelley and partners Stephen Snedden and Justin Halliwell join previously announced producers, Lively McCabe Entertainment President Michael Barra, and Elyse Cogan, Director, Theatrical for BMG. CuzBro will be actively involved in the creative development of the project, and a developmental production will be staged in Memphis, Tennessee at Playhouse on the Square in the fall of 2020 (dates TBA). The producers are simultaneously pursuing a feature film adaptation of the musical.

The Country Music Association's acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance in Albuquerque at KiMo Theatre Tuesday, Oct. 15 featuring Lauren Alaina, Erin Enderlin, Sierra Hull and Luke Laird. The series hosts an intimate round of performances with some of Country Music's top songwriters taking turns sharing the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Tickets for the performance are $15 and go on sale Friday, Sept. 20 at 11:00 AM/CT (10:00 AM/MT) through the KiMo Theatre website and CMA Songwriters Series website. $1 of each ticket sold will benefit the CMA Foundation, CMA's philanthropic arm, which is committed to investing in high quality music education programs for all students in the United States.

Kate Davis has shared a new song and video from her upcoming full-length Trophy out November 8 on Solitaire Recordings (Common Holly, Jonathan Something). Brooklyn Vegan premiered the title track today, saying 'It's an instantly satisfying song, one that should appeal to fans of Kate's jazz roots as well as fans of indie rock.' Its video follows the hypnotic performer through a talent show of her own comedic design, as she embodies more personalities — and hairstyles — than displayed to date, and offers new insight into her charming eccentricity.
