Willie Nelson Adds Saratoga Springs Date To Outlaw Music Festival 2019

Willie Nelson, Blackbird Presents, Keith Wortman, and Mark Rothbaum are thrilled to announce, the addition of Saratoga Springs on September 7, 2019 to the 'Outlaw Music Festival Tour 2019'. Dr. Phillips Center Welcomes Nine Broadway Shows And More During 2019/2020 Season

A diverse palette of musicians, comedians and entertainers is queued up for Dr. Phillips Center's fifth full season, including bluegrass sensation Alison Krauss, rock legend Sammy Hagar, up-and-coming quartet The Four Italian Tenors and Orlando's own Wayne Brady. Nine Broadway tours will also make a stop in Orlando, from Disney Aladdin and Mean Girls to newly announced Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, as part of the 2019/2020 FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando series.

The all-star line-up will include Grammy Award-winning legend Patti LaBelle; multi-platinum selling singer, performer and songwriter Gavin DeGraw; Broadway and television star Christopher Jackson; multi-Grammy Award-winning bluegrass icon Alison Krauss; SAG and Olivier Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated actress and singer Amber Riley; multi-platinum-selling country music star Justin Moore; and Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music; in performance with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly (additional performers to be announced).

More than 1,000 graduates from 67 countries and 47 U.S. states received degrees today at Berklee College of Music's 2019 commencement. At the ceremony, Berklee President Roger H. Brown presented honorary doctor of music degrees to music icons Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, and Alex Lacamoire. Lacamoire, a 1995 graduate of the college, delivered the commencement address to the graduating class and an estimated audience of nearly 7,000 guests at Agganis Arena.

PBS' National Memorial Day Concert 30th Anniversary To Air May 26

PBS's multi award-winning NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT returns live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for a special 30th anniversary broadcast hosted by Tony Award-winner Joe Mantegna and Emmy Award-winner Gary Sinise. The 30th annual broadcast of the NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT airs live on PBS Sunday, May 26, 2019, from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m., before a concert audience of hundreds of thousands, millions more at home, as well as to our troops serving around the world on the American Forces Network.

Journeyman Phil Madeira Follows His Jazz Muse Into The Wordless World Of CRICKETS

A Nashville mainstay, Phil Madeira was Americana before it was a thing. His venerable pedigree as a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and arranger is assured, backed by Grammy-winning credits and a lengthy discography boasting collaborations with Garth Brooks, Emmylou Harris, The Civil Wars, Elvis Costello, Alison Krauss, Toby Keith, Amy Grant, Mavis Staples, Keb Mo', Bruce Hornsby and Vanessa Williams. Yet when this musician's musician sits at the piano backstage or at home, it's jazz-blues riffs that he noodles. On April 26, Mercyland Records will release Madeira's first instrumental album, “Crickets,” comprised of ten new songs that he wrote and produced for a jazz quintet.     

Alex Lacamoire to Receive Honorary Doctorate at Berklee College of Music Commencement

Berklee President Roger H. Brown will present three-time Tony and Grammy-Award winning Alex Lacamoire (B.M. '95,), award-winning actor and 10-time Grammy-Award winning musician Justin Timberlake, and five-time Grammy-Award winning Missy Elliott with honorary Doctor of Music degrees at Berklee College of Music's commencement ceremony, Saturday, May 11, at the 7,000-seat Agganis Arena at Boston University.

Berklee College of Music professors Mark Simos and Scarlet Keys will take the stage at Club Passim today, January 29th for an evening  exploring songwriting. Both have recently released highly regarded textbooks on  songwriting styles and techniques. Singer-songwriter Sam Robbins, a Berklee student, who appeared last fall on NBC's The Voice, and other special guests will provide performances and demonstrations throughout the evening.

T Bone Burnett Teams With Jay Bellerose and Keefus Ciancia For The Invisible Light Trilogy

April 12 marks the release of Acoustic Space, the first full-length installment in The Invisible Light trilogy helmed by Grammy- and Oscar-winning producer T Bone Burnett in collaboration with Jay Bellerose and Keefus Ciancia. The albums explore the idea that society has been subject to over a century of electronic programming, a “programming pandemic,” which is causing us to lose our ability to differentiate fact from fiction. Burnett describes the trilogy as “an experimental song cycle” which consists of a single piece of poetry broken down into distinct songs. The Invisible Light: Acoustic Space track “Being There” premieres today, listen/share HERE.
