Great Lakes Theater (GLT) presents the finale of its 60th anniversary season with the uproarious romantic thriller, Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps. This fast-paced, madcap Tony Award-winning show is a fitting way to end this momentous season. Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps will perform in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, April 29 – May 22, 2022. 

Farmington Players to Stage DEATHTRAP

The longest running comedy-thriller play in Broadway history is headed to the Farmington Players stage. DEATHTRAP written by Ira Levin, will run May 6th through 21st in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Tickets are available now at farmingtonplayers.org or at the box office: (248) 553-2955.

Husson University Theatre Presents THE BIRDS at the Gracie's Black Box Theatre

Robert Morse, Original Star of HOW TO SUCCEED and MAD MEN, Dies at 90

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Tony Award-winning stage and screen actor Robert Morse has died at age 90. Morse may be best known to Broadway fans as the original  J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, a role for which he won a Tony Award.

Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps will perform in the company’s intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, April 29 – May 22, 2022.  This production marks the directorial debut of GLT Artistic Associate, Jaclyn Miller, whose tremendous work as Choreographer/Movement Director/Assistant Director is familiar to GLT audiences from productions such as The Music Man, Julius Caesar and Mamma Mia!

Carnegie Hall will present renowned conductor-composer John Williams, celebrated violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, and the legendary Philadelphia Orchestra in Across The Stars: The Music of John Williams, a one-night-only gala performance on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. 

WCSU Stages to Present ERNEST AND THE PALE MOON

Dick Cavett to Receive WGAE's Evelyn F. Burkey Award at 2022 Writers Guild Awards

In 1966, Cavett wrote and hosted the special, WHERE IT’S AT, produced by Bud Yorkin and Norman Lear. In 1968, Cavett was hired by ABC to host THIS MORNING, which was renamed THE DICK CAVETT SHOW and moved to prime time and then to late night, where it ran opposite THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON.
