Exquisite Corpse Company's ODD.A.SEE Continues thru 8/25

Follow your Odysseus. This August, Brooklyn's Exquisite Corpse Company brings you Odd.A.See. An ambitious retelling of Homer's classic, Odd.A.See explores how the memories of violence haunt us, and how we struggle to find the courage to go home. The audience follows Odysseus through a labyrinth of worlds collaboratively re-imagined and brought to life by a company of nearly 50 artists - including writers, musicians, installation artists, actors, and designers.

Midtown International Theatre Festival presents Third Annual Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival, 2/4-24

John Chatterton and The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) have announced the Third Annual Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival, from Feb. 4 through 24, 2013. The Festival will take place at Roy Arias Studios' Stage 2, 300 W. 43rd St. 4th fl. His latest work, 'The Why Overhead,' will have its premiere run tonight, September 6 to 23, presented by Zootopia Theatre Company at Access Theater, 380 Broadway. The piece imagines what happens in the office while the boss is away. Matthew J. Extant Arts presents the World Premiere of emerging playwright Andy James Hoover's (NYC Debut) CORNER POCKET, October 7-23 at the Gene Frankel Theatre. This production will be directed by Bridget R. Durkin and will feature Alexandra Hellquist, James Liebman, Virginia Logan, Kari Swenson Riely, Mary Schneider, and Eric Sutton*. The creative team will include Set Design by Jeremy Doucette, Puppet Design by Chana Porter, and Costume Design by Tristan Raines. The production will be Stage Managed by Anna Burnham.
