In the second year of a four-year partnership between Music Academy of the West and the New York Philharmonic, ten Academy musicians will travel to New York in January 2016 to participate in the New York Philharmonic Global Academy Fellowship Program (Jan 2-12), developing their career skills through what President and CEO of the Music Academy of the West Scott Reed called "an extraordinary opportunity to gain valuable experience alongside the musicians of one of the world's greatest orchestras."

The Arthur Miller Foundation has announced that Ayad Akhtar, McKinley Belcher, Ray Fisher, Greta Gerwig, Jake Gyllenhaal, Katori Hall, Peter Sarsgaard, and John Turturro are confirmed to participate in the "One Night 100 Years" event honoring legendary playwright Arthur Miller.

On Monday, January 25, the Arthur Miller Foundation will present 'One Night 100 Years' to celebrate the legacy of Arthur Miller and support the Arthur Miller Foundation for Theater and Film Education in New York City public schools. The one-night-only Broadway benefit performance will feature readings from Miller's seminal plays and personal works.

Following the unprecedented success of Stephen Karam (Roundabout Underground's inaugural playwright) and his Roundabout-commissioned play THE HUMANS moving to Broadway, Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the Underground will now produce two new works each season.  The program's expansion will begin in fall 2016 with the world premiere of Jenny Rachel Weiner's Kingdom Come.

December 15, 2015: NYU Tisch School of the Arts today announced its 50th Anniversary Gala, Celebrating the Past/Creating the Future, to be held on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall. The event will be hosted by alumni Alec Baldwin and Spike Lee and will honor the contributions of the Tisch family. All proceeds from the gala will go towards scholarship funds to support talented students for the next half century.

Today, December 8, Palm Beach Dramaworks launches the third season of its highly successful Dramalogue - Talking Theatre! series with Paul Gemignani: Musical Theatre's Master Maestro. The program features the esteemed Broadway musical director in conversation with Sheryl Flatow. Gemignani, recipient of the 2001 Lifetime Achievement Tony Award, will discuss a remarkable career still going strong after more than 40 years, and talk about how he helps shape a show and bring a score to life. The program will be presented twice, at 2pm (limited seating available) and 7pm at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced two new productions from two acclaimed playwrights for the 2016-2017 season: a new Broadway production of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov with a new adaptation by Stephen Karam (The Humans), directed by Simon Godwin and a new play, Love, Love, Love by Mike Bartlett (King Charles III), directed by Michael Mayer. These productions will culminate Roundabout's 50th anniversary season.

Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi's AMBI Pictures will finance and produce a remake of Christopher Nolan's iconic, twist-laden film MEMENTO.

On Tuesday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m., theCarnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-presents yMusic in an exclusive concert in Zankel Hall for Notables members only featuring the acclaimed multi-instrumentalists (string trio, flute, clarinet, and trumpet) with special guest The Tallest Man on Earth.
