Stratford's Square One Theatre Company concluded its twenty-ninth anniversary season recently with the annual presentation of its Subscriber Awards. The awards were selected by the theatre's nearly 1,000 subscribers who voted for performers in various acting categories from the company's three-play, 2018-19 season. This was the fourth year for the theatre's new space onstage at Stratford Academy.

Chapatti, written by Irish playwright Christian O'Reilly, fills the house with enough comedy, drama, romance, darkness, and light that patrons will leave knowing that they have enjoyed a bold and life-affirming performance.

Square One Theatre continues its 26th Anniversary Season with The Outgoing Tide, by Bruce Graham. This new drama hums with dark humor and powerful emotion. Gunner, husband and father, has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his family's future, but meets with resistance from his wife and son, who have plans of their own. 'Before the tide goes out' - the three must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding.
