Patty Griffin, Donna Aviles & Al Kulcsar Set for This Week's STATE OF THE ARTS
Vocalist Patty Smith, author Donna Aviles and actor Al Kulcsar are the featured guests on this week's (February 26)State of the ARTS on WPKN-FM (89.5), heard LIVE every Friday from 12noon to 1pm on WPKN-FM (89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Co-hosts are Richard Pheneger and Peggy Nelson.
Patty Griffin appears in a riveting concert celebration of American songwriting and performances by leading singer-songwriters at the Quick Center on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Donna Aviles, an award-winning author and member of the "Orphan Train Complex Speakers Bureau" and granddaughter of an orphan train rider, will share the history of the 75-year social experiment, spotlighted by the publication of the highly successful book "Orphan Train" by Christina Baker Kline.
Al Kulcsar returns to the stage in the upcoming Square One Theatre production of The Outgoing Tide by Bruce Graham.
State of the ARTS, which features arts and entertainment personalities, airs LIVE each Friday from 12noon-1pm onWPKN-FM located at 89.5 and streams worldwide online at wpkn.org
