Liz Brasher's debut EP for Fat Possum Records sees this new fiery vocalist and band leader digging into her past and present to create music that is as timeless as it is refreshing. It's a diverse sound rooted in the influence of Brasher's two homes: her adopted hometown of Memphis; and her childhood stomping grounds in rural North Carolina, where she was raised in a musical, multi-ethnic household.

After 18 years of hosting some of music and entertainment's most revered names, B.B. King Blues Club & Grill has announced its final run of shows in its current Times Square location (237 W 42nd St). Due to escalating rent, the historic venue and supper club is forced to close its doors with a final performance on April 29, 2018. B.B. King Blues Club is in the process of selecting a new location in Manhattan to relocate the venue.

Production studio Electus has teamed with eleven-time Grammy-winning songwriter, producer and artist Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds for a new, scripted 90s music series (as yet untitled) it was announced today by Electus CEO Chris Grant and Electus President John Pollak.

The Legendary Soul Man Sam Moore was honored with the Trailblazer Award at the annual Dream Ball Gala on Monday, February 19 at the Bomb Factory in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. The gala is produced by Nancy Lieberman Charities, a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes healthy lifestyles and educational opportunities for young girls and boys, and is dedicated to expanding and ensuring that educational and sports opportunities exist for economically disadvantaged youth. Moore was presented with the Trailblazer Award by former Dallas Police Chief David Brown, and also performed a short set during the program, garnering rave reviews. Fellow honoree Billy Crystal was joined by Bo Derek, Tony Dorsett, Deion Sanders, Jose' Guzman, and Spud Webb, among other celebrities and local dignitaries, who were also in attendance. The Dream Ball Gala is one of several annual charity events organized by Nancy Lieberman Charities.

The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke were joined by Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (currently appearing as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton, and previously seen as the Genie in Aladdin and Bobby in Memphis) and Broadway regular Capathia Jenkins (Medda inNewsies, as well as appearances in Caroline, Or Change, and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) for Heart and Soul on Friday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall.

In honor of the 10th year of our festival, and our 25th Anniversary, this year's theme is CELEBRATION. Audiences get a chance to vote on their favorite four plays, and cash prizes will be awarded to the playwrights.

From February 1 to February 6, NJPAC and Crossroads Theatre Company will present an encore production of Ain't Misbehavin' directed by Andre De Shields.
