WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the cast for Spunk running through May 4, 2014 on the Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directed by Akin Babatunde, the cast features Liz Mikel (Blues Speak Woman) and Joshua Bridgewater, Tiffany Denise Hobbs, Marcus Mauldin, and Calvin Roberts as The Folk. Liz Mikel & More to Lead WaterTower's SPUNK, 4/11-5/4

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the cast for Spunk running April 11 - May 4, 2014 on the Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directed by Akin Babatunde, the cast features Liz Mikel (Blues Speak Woman), Tim Clifton (Guitar Man), and Joshua Bridgewater, Tiffany Denise Hobbs, Marcus Mauldin, and Calvin Roberts as The Folk.

Robin Armstrong, Akin Babatunde and More Among WaterTower Theatre's 2013-14 Directors

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the directors for the Company's 2013-2014 Main Stage season at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directing the season opener, Hank Williams: Lost Highway (October 11-November 3, 2013) will be Michael Serrecchia. The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) (December 13- January 5, 2014) will be directed by Robin Armstrong. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (January 24-February 16, 2014) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks. Spunk (April 11-May 4, 2014) will be directed by Akin Babatunde.Good People (June 6-29, 2014) will be directed by Rene Moreno and Dogfight (July 25-August 17, 2014) will be directed by Terry Martin.

Dallas Theater Center and Casa Mañana Theatre Present TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, 9/24-10/2

Dallas Theater Center presents To Kill a Mockingbird at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Oct. 21 - Nov. 20. Wendy Dann will direct the play, which is the first ever co-production between DTC and Casa Mañana Theatre. This classic story will also be the focus of an area-wide Community Read lead by DTC in partnership with the Dallas Public Library and other organizations.

Jubilee Theatre Presents Southwest Premiere of 'Gem of the Ocean,' 6/4

Jubilee Theatre continues the 2009-2010 season with the Southwest premiere of the drama by August Wilson, Gem of the Ocean. Over the past 20 years, Wilson had staked a legitimate claim to the title of the nation's most important dramatist winning two Pulitzers and a Tony. Previews for the production will begin May 28, and the production officially opens on June 4.

York Theatre Company Presents OBITUARY 10/2 At The York

The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) announces that Akin Babatunde will perform in a staged reading of his new one-man show OBITUARY this Friday, October 2nd at 3 p.m. at The York, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series.
