On Saturday, April 13, the Martha Graham Dance Company will present a Women's Leadership Program as part of The EVE Project and its Joyce Theater season. The EVE Project celebrates the power of women and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. It honors not only the progress of women in the last 100 years, but also provides entr e into some of today's most pressing conversations about gender and power.

Triple-bill Program 06, Space Between, opens at San Francisco Ballet on March 29 with Tony Award-winner Justin Peck's Rodeo: Four Dance Episodes; the return of Arthur Pita's wild Bjork Ballet, created for the 2018 Unbound festival; and the world premiere of Die Toteninsel by Liam Scarlett, artist in residence at The Royal Ballet. Space Between's high-intensity programming is on display until April 9 at SF War Memorial Opera House.

Bryan Arias, Artistic Director of ARIAS Company, receives the Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a residency at the Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. The newly established Fellowship represents a shared vision between the two organizations to broaden resources that allow artists to thrive and bring new work to stages in Massachusetts, New York, and beyond.

According to Deadline, the incoming revival just announced that it will join Hollywood's Gun Neutral Initiative, pledging that for every visible gun onstage during the show, a donation will be made to help solve gun violence.

The Actors Fund, a national human services organization that has served all professionals in the entertainment industry since 1882, today announced that it will honor Palm Beach cultural philanthropist Anka Palitz, along with Ethan Stiefel, principal guest instructor at American Ballet Theatre, and ABT principal dancer Gillian Murphy, at the 10th anniversary Heart & Soul Gala. Not only was Ethan Stiefel the first individual dancer supported by Mrs. Palitz, he and fellow honoree Gillian Murphy are married and expecting their first child.

Exploring the breadth and depth of artistry within American ballet, the Kennedy Center's Ballet Across America series returns May 28-June 2 for seven performances in the Opera House. This season's engagement features deeper looks at companies led by distinguished Artistic Directors Virginia Johnson and Lourdes Lopez with their respective companies, Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) and Miami City Ballet (MCB). Each company will present a full program while a one-night-only celebration on May 31 features a shared program that includes both companies in a world premiere Kennedy Center commission by renowned choreographer Pam Tanowitz.
