A RAISIN IN THE SUN Launches Dallas Theater Center's 2013-14 Season Tonight

Dallas Theater Center launches its 2013-14 season with A Raisin in the Sun. Tre Garrett of Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre will make his directorial debut at DTC with this Tony Award-winning play. A Raisin in the Sun begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance tonight, September 13 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Colt Coeur Presents World Premiere of EVERYTHING IS OURS Tonight

Everything is Ours, written by Nikole Beckwith, directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, and produced by Devon Berkshire. Performances begin Today, August 31st at 8:30pm, at HERE Arts Center, 145 Sixth Avenue, (entrance on Dominick St. 1 Block South of Spring). Opening night is set for Tuesday, September 3rd at 7:00pm. The show must close Today, September 21st. Tickets are $18 general admission and may be purchased at www.here.org or by phoning 212.352.3101.

Dallas Theater Center has announced the regional premiere of Clybourne Park, running in rotating rep with A Raisin in the Sun, to launch the theater's 55th season. Clybourne Park will be directed by DTC Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell. Clybourne Park begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Friday, October 4 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

The 3-year old company, helmed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, has used Kickstarter twice before to raise funds for the world premieres of Lucas Kavner's Fish Eye (New York Magazine championed as one of the year's best)and Eliza Clark's RECALL, as well as their play-making intensive offered free-of-charge to NYC teens. Despite being rich in talent, no one in the company 'comes from money' or has access to major donors who can write big checks. Instead, with funding goals ranging from 12k to 18k, roughly over 200 distinct donors have contributed an average of $100.

A host of Broadway talent as well as several film and television stars will be appearing on the Dorset Theatre Festival stage this summer. Tim Daly, well known for his work on Wings (NBC) and Private Practice (ABC) will headline in the first production of the season, Theresa Rebeck's The Scene. Joining him will be Geoffrey Arend (ABC's Body of Proof) and well-known NY stage actress Mary Bacon (most recently seen in the Michael John LaChiusa/Sybille Pearson musical Giant as well as on Bway in Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll). They will be joined by newcomer Carolyn Holding (The Philadelphia Story/Chautauqua). Adrienne Campbell-Holt will direct the production.
