Joe's Pub announces its upcoming events, August 8-11. Tickets may be ordered online at joespub.com, by phone at 212-967-7555, in person at the Public Theater Box Office (1 PM to 6 PM), or at the Joe's Pub Box Office from (6 PM to 10 PM) both located at 425 Lafayette Street, NYC. For table reservations please call 212-539-8778. Purchase of tickets does NOT guarantee a table reservation; you must call to reserve seats. Seating, as well as standing-room, is available only on a first-come, first-served basis for all shows without a dinner reservation. Two drink or $12 food minimum per person is standard.

New Georges has announced that the company has received a three-year, $90,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation which supports the creation of an artistic director's discretionary fund. This grant is intended to help New Georges maintain financial stability during these volatile economic times, and thereby continue to do excellent artistic work, take risks, commit to new plays/artistic projects, and invest in artists over time.

Ars Nova presents Missed Connections NYC, short plays by Ars Nova's Play Group, playing through January 31. From the pages of Craigslist to the Ars Nova stage, Ars Nova's Play Group presents a night of short plays and live music inspired by ads for the ones that got away. Featuring plays by Annie Baker, Bekah Brunstetter, Dylan Dawson, Kristoffer Diaz, Zayd Dohrn, Tasha Gordon-Solmon, Amy Herzog, Samuel D. Hunter, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Steven Levenson, Matthew Lopez, Janine Nabers and Samuel Brett Williams, the show will be directed by Stephen Brackett, Adrienne Campbell-Holt, Tamara Fisch, Wes Grantom and Kerry Whigham.
