Theatre Communications Group has announced the publication of Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus by Taylor Mac. The play was originally commissioned by HERE Arts Center with the support of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation's National Playwright Residency Program, administered in partnership with HowlRound. Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus received its world premiere on Broadway in the spring of 2019.

Based on TCG's Fiscal Survey and SMU DataArts' Cultural Data Profile (CDP), Theatre Facts is the only in-depth report that examines the attendance, performance, and overall fiscal state of the U.S. professional not-for-profit theatre field.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, just celebrated its 2020 TCG Gala: Our Stories, last night, February 3, 2020, at The Edison Ballroom. The Gala honored North Carolina Black Repertory Company's National Black Theatre Festival, based in Winston-Salem; playwright David Henry Hwang; and TCG's arts advocacy at the federal level. The evening included performances from A Strange Loop and Soft Power, and feature Billy Bustamante, James Jackson, Jr., and Alyse Alan Louis.

Gordon joins TCG after spending the last thirteen years at Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, a not-for-profit organization that facilitates the economic development of all communities in Upper Manhattan through job creation, strategic investments, and small business assistance. Serving as their Information Technology Officer, Lane's leadership supported the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone's greatest period of success in the revitalization of the Upper Manhattan community.

Wright played the part of Mufasa in the original cast of The Lion King on Broadway. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, announces the appointment of Kevin Bitterman as its new director of institutional advancement and partnerships. Since 2008, Bitterman has served as the associate director of artistic and international programs at TCG where he has managed a portfolio of grantmaking, professional development, and global initiatives. As director of the newly created department, Bitterman will partner with TCG's executive leadership, staff, and board to diversify TCG's sources of corporate and philanthropic support along with new strategic partnerships to support the future of TCG's mission-driven programs and advancement efforts.
