The star of Disney's brand new screen-to-stage adaptation of their hit multi-award-winning animated movie musical ALADDIN, Adam Jacobs, opens up about his role in the show as well as the Broadway stage edition of the piece byway of a new interview.

New photos of the stars of Disney's Broadway-bound musical comedy Aladdin, including Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Courtney Reed (Jasmine) and James Monroe Iglehart (Genie), have been released - plus a sneak peek at just a few of the nearly 350 original costumes designed for the show by two-time Tony Award® winner Gregg Barnes. Disney's Aladdin, a new musical comedy based on the Academy Award®-winning animated film, begins performances at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre on February 26th, 2014 for a March 20 opening. The show just announced the following rush policy: A limited number of general rush seats will be sold for each performance on the day of the show when the box office opens for $32.50 each. Rush tickets can be purchased by cash or charge at the box office. Locations will be at the theatre's discretion and may not be offered at all performances. Each guest in line may purchase a maximum of two (2) tickets.

Adam Jacobs, star of Disney's upcoming Aladdin, and his wife of seven years, actress Kelly Jacobs, just announced the birth of twin boys Jack Loren Jacobs and Alex Gregory Jacobs. The twins were born early Monday morning, January 27, after a 25-hour labor, weighing in at 5 lbs, 12 oz and 4 lbs, 11 oz, respectively. Scroll down for a photo of the happy family!

The award winning CAP21 Theatre Company will kick off its 2014 season on February 4th with the new musical by Jonathan Larson Award winning writers Dan Collins (book) and Julianne Wick Davis (music and lyrics). The story was conceived in collaboration by Julianne Wick Davis, Sally Wilfert & Michael Winther. The production will be directed by Eric Hoff with musical direction by Charity Wicks and will star Broadway veterans Sally Wilfert (Broadway: Disney's King David, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Assassins; Off-Broadway: See Rock City and Make Me a Song), and Michael Winther (Broadway: 33 Variations, Mamma Mia!, 1776, Damn Yankees; Drama Desk nomination: Songs From An Unmade Bed).

Disney's ALADDIN, which is set to fly onto the Great White Way at the New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, ends its pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre today, Jan. 5, 2014. The production officially opened on Nov. 21, 2013.
