The New Amsterdam Theatre box office opens for Aladdin today at 10:00am. Tickets are now available for purchase through AladdinTheMusical.com, by calling Ticketmaster's Disney on Broadway hotline at 866-870-2717, or in person at the New Amsterdam Theatre box office (214 W. 42nd Street). The New Amsterdam Theatre box office is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am - 8:00pm and Sunday 10:00am - 6:30pm.

Yesterday's shots included the first SIP from the Broadway-bound ALADDIN, Broadway's CINDERELLA, the national tours of CHICAGO, ELF, and EVITA, plus a slew of regional photos from productions around the country!

Due to popular demand - and just in time for the holidays, Disney's Aladdin is releasing additional seats for performances between December 17 through January 5. The additional seats will go on sale Monday November 25 at 9AM.

It was a true 'Arabian Night' in Toronto where the Broadway bound production of Disney's Aladdin had it's 'world premiere' last night. Promising to be a revamped interpretation of the classic 1992 cartoon film, the show had the unbelievable sights but sadly struggled with the indescribable feelings. BWW is thrilled to bring its readers one of the first reviews of this brand new production.

ALADDIN, Disney's new Broadway-bound musical, begins performances this evening at the Ed Mirvish Theatre. The production features the beloved music by Academy and Tony Award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Beguelin.

Collaborative Arts Project 21, America's Musical Theatre Conservatory and Theatre Company (CAP21) and Molloy College have established a one-of-a-kind partnership. CAP21 is in residency at Molloy College, and to inaugurate the residency, both institutions are developing a four year BFA Theatre Arts Degree Program that will combine CAP21's 20 years of experience in training musical theatre actors and Molloy College's renowned academic programming.

Because this holiday convergence won't happen again for more than 70,000 years, the wild, Technicolor musical adventure known as The Dirty Sock Funtime Band has decided to celebrate both the release of their new album,The Dirty Socks Come Clean, and the spirit of Thanksgivukkah with a high-energy family showat 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 at DROM, 85 Ave. A (between 5th and 6th Streets), NYC.

The American Theatre Wing (William Ivey Long, Chair; Heather Hitchens, Executive Director) announced today that its annual gala, held last night at the Plaza Hotel, was the most successful in the organization's history, raising nearly $700,000 (besting the previous record, which was set in 2012, by approximately $100,000). All proceeds from the evening will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing, which include SpringboardNYC, the Theatre Intern Group, the National Theatre Company Grants and the Jonathan Larson Grants, and will also support free access for students, aspiring professionals, and the general public to programming on AmericanTheatreWing.org, including the long running television show 'Working in the Theatre.'

Rachel Reiner Productions presents the World Premiere of Victor L. Cahn's A Dish For The Gods, directed by Adam Fitzgerald. A Dish for the Gods began performances on Saturday September 14, and opens tonight, Monday, September 16 and will run through October 5, 2013 at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre (410 West 42 Street). An exceptional line-up of talented stars has been assembled for the next Broadway Ballyhoo on Sept. 4 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, with Tony Nominee Barbara Walsh (Company, Falsettoes, etc.) headlining, and including the star in the title role of the new Disney musical Aladdin, coming to Broadway in the Spring, Adam Jacobs(The Lion King, Les Miserables, etc.).
