CPCC Theatre has announced its cast for 1776 the Musical.

Next month, Mad Cow Theatre will open its 20th season with 1776, the Tony Award-winning musical which celebrates the creation of America's Declaration of Independence. Mad Cow's unique production, which features an exclusively female cast, will run from September 23 through October 23 in Mad Cow's Harriet Theater, located on the second floor of 54 West Church Street in Downtown Orlando. Perhaps it's a case of perfect timing - or maybe it's simply the fact that a revival of a much-beloved Tony Award-winning best musical is enough to attract a strong ensemble of men to the project - but make no mistake about it, Murfreesboro's Center for the Arts succeeds where so many companies have fallen short in bringing a superbly mounted production of Sherman Edwards' and Peter Stone's 1776 to vibrant life onstage!

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. As America celebrates its 240th Birthday today, let's talk about what is probably one of the greatest musicals ever written, and it only came about 46 years before Hamilton. 1776 dramatizes the story of how John Adams was able to persuade his colleagues to vote for American independence as well as signing the Declaration of Independence. While the musical does dramatize the most important event in American history, the story behind the musical is probably just as interesting.

?E.D.G.E. Theatre has announced, in honor of the November elections, 1776. The production features music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards, book by Peter Stone and direction by Melissa Crabtree with musical direction by Linnea Carrera, September 1 - 17, at Mary's Attic, 5400 N Clark Ave. Opening night is Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 and maybe be purchased at www.edgeoforion.com. 

People's Light presents the world premiere of a suspenseful and sexy political drama by Producing Director Zak Berkman. The Western Wind vocal sextet will present Flowing Light - New American Music for Voices on Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 PM in Abigail Adams Smith Auditorium, 417 East 61st Street in Manhattan.

Center Stage Jackson has announced a very special production of the musical 1776 at The Cascades.  Directed by Denise Weber, this performance will be an outdoor theatre event at a new venue for Center Stage Jackson: The Cascades at 1400 S. Brown St. Jackson, MI 49201.

The original, Broadway production of this musical depiction of the birth of our nation won the Tony Award for Best Musical and now this theatrical, historical journey comes to South Bend for three weekends between April 15th and May 1st. A wonderful cast of volunteer actors illuminate the story of the Second Continental Congress for a unique perspective of this iconic event in our nation's history: with men that are emotional, proud, uncertain, charming, and irritable humans wanting the best for their families.
