These powerful and moving letters, written as our nation was being formed, by one of America's founders and his wife are extraordinary, moving and deeply insightful into their love for each other and for our great country.

Celebrated stars of stage, screen and television Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss star in Dearest Friend, as the famed couple perform a reading of the actual love letters of second U.S. President John Adams and his First Lady, Abigail Adams. In 1970, the Broadway company of 1776 played a special performance at The White House.

?The McLean Community Players' production of the musical 1776, based on the events surrounding the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence, opens Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, and runs weekends through Feb. 21 at McLean's Alden Theatre.  With music by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone, 1776 became an improbable hit and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical in 1969.  Director Annie O'Neill Galvin leads an award-winning cast and crew for this production.

Candace O'Donnell returns with her one-woman 'tour de force' show, 'Mary Todd Lincoln: Much Madness Is Divinest Sense,' to the Steinman Hall stage at the Ware Center tonight, November 21, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.  The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theater and Door County's theatrical icon, continues its 80th season with the hilarious musical comedy 'Nunsense,' with book, music and lyrics by Dan Goggin. The lighthearted musical has a six-week run starting tonight, Sept. 9, through Oct. 18. 'Nunsense' received the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Music and Best Off-Broadway Musical.

Cortland Repertory Theatre's third production in their 44th annual summer season is the regional theatre premiere of the 'creepy, kooky and all together ookie' musical 'The Addams Family', based on the iconic characters of TV, movies, and New Yorker cartoons drawn by Charles Addams. A recent show on Broadway, this new musical has a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.
