This spring, Stoneham Theatre closes its 15th Mainstage season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical comedy How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Performances run from tonight, May 14 - June 7, 2015.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will open its 47th consecutive summer season with the Broadway favorite, Guys and Dolls, from June 11-21, 2015 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452). Set in Damon Runyon's jubilant, shimmering New York City, this Tony Award-winning musical about gangsters, showgirls, and mission workers stars Olivier Award nominee Brent Barrett as Sky Masterson (Broadway's Chicago, PBS's Kiss Me, Kate) and opera singer Mara Bonde as Sarah Brown (The Boston Pops). Broadway veteran David Hugo (LES MISERABLES) returns to direct Frank Loesser's romantic comedy that demonstrates the great lengths to which a guy will go when he truly falls in love with a 'doll.' Reagle Music Theatre is the long-running regional theater company known for casting Broadway stars alongside regional talent. This spring, Stoneham Theatre closes its 15th Mainstage season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical comedy How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Performances run from May 14 - June 7, 2015.

Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers work tirelessly to perfect their dance moves, learn all of their lines, and get their vocal harmonies just right for the culmination of their training session and this spring is no exception! These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 will fill the Little Theater with a variety of shows and musicals to entertain audiences of all ages May 29th - June 7th with their annual Spring Festival of Shows. The Young Performers Workshop (YPW) has been hailed as a 'state treasure' by Peter Filichia of the Star Ledger and brings in youth from Morris, Warren, Hunterdon and Sussex counties. This spring, the festival will feature How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Gypsy, and American Sampler: 100 Years of Broadway Dance. Performances will be held on select dates in the Little Theatre on the campus of Centenary College at 400 Jefferson Street in Hackettstown.

The American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater School Institute for Advanced Theater Training, presents the last two productions of its season, William Shakespeare's comedy Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Anya Safir, and Paula Vogel's Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief, directed by Melia Bensussen.

The Open Table Series at Performance Network continues next week with a musically­heightened reading of G?uys and Dolls? on April 29. The reading is free to the public and begins at 7:30pm. The Open Table Series offers table readings of plays and musicals, both classic and new, in an intimate setting. At its best, GUYS AND DOLLS will transport you to another time and place. A place where career criminals wear colorful, oddly-patterned suits; speak with humorous, but non-descript accents; and live lives in which their marker is their more sacred than gold. This place is called Runyonland. Unfortunately, as entertaining as Rollins College's production of this classic 'Musical Fable' is, it rarely ever rises to the Runyonland level. Running through Sunday, April 26th at the Annie Russell Theatre, Rollins' GUYS AND DOLLS is enjoyable, and again affirms why the program is one of the most consistent theatre companies in Central Florida, but lacks the joy and whimsy that makes GUYS AND DOLLS one of the greatest examples of the American musical theatre.

Surprise! This brand new, non-equity national tour of GUYS AND DOLLS---currently onstage at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a limited week-long run through April 19---is a winning, nicely-nicely done charmer. Of course, it helps a lot that this traveling production comes equipped with Broadway-caliber sets and costumes and, most satisfying of all, a really talented, engaging ensemble cast.

Today in 1992, the second Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls opened at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre), where it ran for 1143 performances. Guys and Dolls is a musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is based on 'The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown' and 'Blood Pressure', two short stories by Damon Runyon, and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories, most notably 'Pick the Winner'. Premiering on Broadway in 1950, the original production ran for 1200 performances and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical has had several Broadway and London revivals, as well as a 1955 film adaptation starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra and Vivian Blaine.

All ticket holders attending GUYS AND DOLLS at Segerstrom Center for the Arts from today, April 14 - 19, 2015 are invited to partake in complimentary lobby activities one hour before all performances.
