Big Little Theater Company in association with the Los Angeles LGBT Center has announced its world premiere production of Menstruation: A Period Piece by Miranda Rose Hall. Produced by Camille Jenkins and under the direction of Katie Lindsay with music by Tova Katz, previews begin on March 16 with opening set for Friday, March 24, at 8pm.
Two-time Tony Award nominee Alison Fraser and writer-director Aaron Mark have released a free studio recording of the horror monologue play SQUEAMISH. Written by Mark specifically for Fraser, SQUEAMISH premiered Off-Broadway in 2017 at Theatre Row, presented by All For One Theatre.
All For One Theater (AFO), the company that last produced My Name is Gideon, continues its legacy of producing acclaimed solo works with Aaron Mark's SQUEAMISH starring two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser (The Secret Garden, First Daughter Suite).
Broadening Theatrics, in association with Open Bar Theatricals (openbartheatricals.org), will present a unique production of A Chorus Line in which dancers have been cast regardless of race, gender, body type, age, or gender identity. Presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc., this rare production, directed and choreographed by Rachel Broadwell, will run March 31st, April 1st, and April 2nd at 8pm at TADA! Theatre (15 W 28th St.).
