Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Will Continue 25th Anniversary Season with Ren Dara Santiago's THE SIBLINGS PLAY

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and piece by piece productions, in association with Rising Phoenix Repertory, will present the world premiere of Ren Dara Santiago's The Siblings Play, which marks the professional debut of the Fila-Rican playwright. Directed by Jenna Worsham (Agnes), The Siblings Play gives voice to multicultural New Yorkers, rarely seen on the stage, with breathtaking theatricality, stinging poignancy, biting humor, and deep empathy. The Siblings Play runs March 4-April 5, 2020, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place) with an opening night of March 18.

Wednesday Rep Premieres CARCASS By Eddie Vernovsky

Wednesday Repertory Company, a NYC-based company whose focus is on original stage acting, writing, and directing exposing their audience to unique works that explore the human condition, is thrilled to present a new work that has been workshopped by the company for more than a year. Carcass will premiere at Shetler Studios, 244 W 54 St, NYC, opening Thursday, May 9 and running Friday, May 10 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, May 11 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; Sunday May 12 at 5:00 pm; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday May 15, 16, and 17 at 7:00 pm; Saturday May 18 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; and Sunday May 19 at 5:00 pm.

NYCO & NYTF To Produce World Premiere Of DEAR ERICH

New York City Opera has announced that it will produce the world premiere of the award-winning jazz composer/pianist Ted Rosenthal's DEAR ERICH.  This new jazz opera, to be co-produced with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, will open Wednesday, January 9 and will play four performances only through Sunday, January 13 at the Edmond J. Safra Hall at 36 Battery Place, in lower Manhattan.

Lesser America Premieres AGNES At 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) presents the NYC premiere of AGNES, written by Catya McMullen and directed by Jenna Worsham. Produced by Lesser America, in association with Hugh Hayes, AGNES begins performances on Saturday, September 8 for a limited engagement through Saturday, September 29. Press Opening is Thursday, September 13 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 7:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM; and Sunday at 2:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Single tickets are $25 ($20 for 59E59 Members).
