ERTH's Dinosaur Petting Zoo, SHYLOCK and More Set for JCCSF's 2013 Season

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) recently announced details of all events to be presented from January - June, 2013. Highlights include include a sold-out evening with Dan Rather, and appearances by renowned pianist Michael Feinstein, columnist Dave Barry, Rabbi David Wolpe, author Daniel Pink, indie rockers Dean and Britta, psychologist Tal Ben-Shahar, and a brunch with Mark Russ Federman, owner of New York's fabled Russ & Daughters.

Wendy Wasserstein’s THE SISTERS ROSENWEIG Closes on 1/17

The Jewish Theatre San Francisco (TJT) in association with The Friend Center for the Arts at the JCCSF presents Wendy Wasserstein's award-winning comedy The Sisters Rosensweig from January 7 - 17, 2010 in Kanbar Hall. This will be the second year of collaboration between TJT and the JCCSF, giving both organizations the opportunity to expand their reach and serve their community.

Due to overwhelming response from eager audiences, TheatreWorks' moving production of Chaim Potok's classic tale, THE CHOSEN, is adding performances, and will now extend its run through November 8 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. THE CHOSEN, adapted for the stage by Chaim Potok and Aaron Posner is the classic uplifting tale of fathers and sons, faith and family, featuring Bay Area theatre veteran Corey Fischer, with The Jewish Theatre of San Francisco (formerly A Traveling Jewish Theatre) Artistic Director Aaron Davidman at the helm.

ACT Announces New Plays For 'First Look' Series

Two groundbreaking new works directed by leading theater artists will take the stage at American Conservatory Theater's First Look New Plays Festival, running April 11 through April 26 at Zeum Theater. The plays include The Road Weeps, The Well Runs Dry, a deeply poetic new play by Marcus Gardley, and the newest version of Lillian Groag's theatrical adaptation of renowned poet Christopher Logue's War Music, a contemporary retelling of Homer's Iliad. Each play will receive two script-in-hand workshop performances following an intense week of work by the many artists engaged.
