The Cultural Park Theatre Company in Cape Coral, Florida will welcome to their stage The Atlantic City Blues Brothers Tribute Band on Friday, January 6 at 7 PM, Saturday, January 7 at 7 PM and Sunday, January 8 at 3 PM.

Talawa, the UK’s outstanding Black theatre company, is holding an evening of celebration in honour of its late co-founder Mona Hammond OBE (1931–2022).  As one of the founders of Talawa Theatre Company in 1986, Hammond was instrumental in championing Black British theatre and her passion and vision was fundamental to the company’s work.

Visually this show is spectacular thanks to super talented costume designers Helen Chessum. My particular favourites were Potiphar's scene with it's truly striking black and white theme and all the Pharoah scenes where the attention to detail ensured the wow factor- collars, wigs, sparkly shoes and even a fully bedazzled Elvis cape. Marty Wilson's attention to detail in his hair and make-up design was highlighted for me by the blue stripes in Pharoah's hair which matched his Egyptian eyeshadow.

It takes a lot more than the actors' performance to make a great show. Along with the acting, a spectacular set and visuals, Lighting and sound, and staying true to the material are cogs that set one well-oiled machine of a show apart from the others. When miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by ghosts of the past, present and future on Christmas Eve, he is threatened with a bitter and lonely future or offered redemption if he changes his selfish ways. The ghosts take Scrooge on a journey through his life and teach him the real meaning of Christmas along the way. Featuring hit songs such as "Thank You Very Much" and "I Hate People."

Out of Box Theatre is proud to have Wendy Wasserstein's Third close out their sixth season. First produced at the Lincoln Center Theater in 2005, the play is set at an elite, New England liberal arts college in November 2002 and focuses on college professor Laurie Jameson (played by Mary Claire Klooster), who accuses one of her students-an outwardly preppy jock nicknamed 'Third' (Michael Sanders) -- of plagiarism, and upends her own life in the process. The play will be directed by Zip Rampy.
