This Spotlight focuses on Amanda Conlon, the actor, singer and director who created Bucket List Theatre after relocating to Los Angeles from NYC. As the company's Artistic Director, her talents as an actor, singer, writer and director enhance every production in which she appears or organizes for her company of equally talented, triple-threat performers. Amanda recently joined Theatre 40 and has also appeared in and directed productions for that professional company on the campus of Beverly Hills High School.

It all starts when a twenty-something software programming genius is visited while he sleeps by a mysterious figure referred to as the Troll. 'We're going to change the world,' the Troll tells the narrator. Soon you're introduced to an assortment of off-beat characters: a red-haired, one-eared, female temptress; a pot-smoking tech reporter; a computer-generated Halfling; and a few venture capitalists who are all interested in finding the Troll. Mostly taking place in San Francisco, Hunt for the Troll is a quirky hybrid of mystery, pulp, and modern fairy tale.

On Saturday, April 19, a host of distinguished guests descended on San Francisco's elegant Four Seasons hotel for Ovation, Berkeley Repertory Theatre's annual gala. Under the leadership of gala co-chairs Jill Fugaro and Jean Strunsky, the theatrical extravaganza raised $644,000 in support of the award-winning non-profit's creation of exciting new plays and its commitment to education and outreach programs for the local community.
