BIO
Born and raised in New Jersey, Leonard J. Santos (he/him) is an NYC–based creative producer, stage manager, and arts administrator whose work centers on supporting early-career artists and developing new theatrical voices.
He serves as the Managing Director of Amoeba Productions, a nonprofit performing arts organization that supports emerging artists across the New York metropolitan area. At Amoeba, Leonard manages the logistics and finances behind their programming, including developmental playwriting labs, full productions, and masterclasses. Leonard is also a co-founder of S.B. Theatricals, a theatre company dedicated to empowering creatives through inclusive, flexible spaces for new works and reimagined texts. With S.B. Theatricals, he has produced multiple Off-Off-Broadway plays and developmental readings at venues including The Tank, The Chain Theatre, Open Jar Studios, and Abrons Arts Center. Independently, Leonard has served as associate producer on the Off-West End production of Castles with Telos Ensemble. He also was the producer for CHOKE at the 2025 LPAC Rough Draft Festival and Princess Hamlet at The Flea Theater’s Circle Festival.
Leonard is a proud member of the Creative and Independent Producers Alliance’s (CIPA) Rising Producer Fellowship 2026 cohort, and is currently working as a producing apprentice with Pomegranate Arts.
Beyond producing, Leonard works as the Media Lab Administrator and an Adjunct Professor of digital media and technology in NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication.
