Robin Spielberg is a founding member of the Atlantic Theater Company. She has appeared in numerous Atlantic productions in the 1980's and 1990's. A consummate pianist and composer, Spielberg was signed to a 6-album deal with indie label North Star Music in 1994 and began a journey that would take her from acting to performing piano on concert hall stages.Notable performances include three sold-out performances at Weill Hall (at Carnegie Hall), a month-long tour through rural Montana (with Steinway in tow), a performance on the factory floor of Steinway, and three tours through South Korea where she is a bona fide piano star.
Robin Spielberg's memoir, "Naked on the Bench: My Adventures in Pianoland" chronicles her journey from a precocious young girl, to actress to musician. The Kirkus Review calls the book a "must read" for anyone undertaking an artistic journey.It was awarded a Gold Medal in the 2014 Reader's Favorite International Book Contest. Robin Spielberg is a Steinway Artist and Celebrity Artist Spokesperson for The American Music Therapy Association. She gave a TEDx Talk on the transformative power of music in Spring 2014. Her current tour includes music interwoven with readings from her memoir. Robin is represented on tour by The Roots Agency.
