The International Art Museum of America (IAMA) in San Francisco today announced that on March 18, 2019, the painting 'Pomegranates in a Bamboo Basket' by Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang was sold at the exceptional price of US$1.27 million during the spring auction at Gianguan Auctions in New York. Dr. Wang has been recognized by the New York Academy of Art as an international first-class artist. The auction price of this small painting, which is only twenty-seven by eighteen inches, astounded the art market!

The New York Philharmonic Very Young People's Concerts (VYPCs), for children ages three to six, will continue its 14th season Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Monday, April 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Merkin Hall, 129 West 67th Street. Also on the program is music from Verdi's La Forza del Destino, Weber's Der Freischütz, and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante will round out the program on Saturday, and Vanhal's Double Bass Concerto on Sunday.
