Royal Family Productions' Emerging Artist Program will presents a workshop benefit performance of the first 40 minutes of Opal Ann Meets the Fabulous Kit Katt, A play with Musical Fantasies written and directed by Chris Henry, with music and lyrics by Summer Hyde and Daniel A. Weiss and choreography by Liz Ramos. Opal Ann Meets the Fabulous Kit Katt, will be presented at RFP's new Times Square location, The American Globe Theatre (145 W 46 Street) on Opal Ann Meets the Fabulous Kit Katt, and Opal Ann Meets the Fabulous Kit Katt. Hosted by Sir Ian McKellen, last night, November 1, the Only Make Believe Gala featured a number of performances including the casts of Memphis, the Cast of Billy Elliot: The Musical, and others. Also on-hand was Josh Lucas, James Wesley, Brad Oscar, Matthew Settle, Seth Rudetsky, The Glamazons among others. Last night, September 23, the stars of Memphis were honored with a Wall of Fame painting at Tony di Napoli's restaurant to kick off the new Broadway season and celebrate the cast's one year anniversary on Broadway. The painting was created by Dan May. Valerie Smaldone produced and emceed the event, which was hosted by Tony di Napoli's Bruce Dimpflmaier.

Yesterday, September 9, the cast of Broadway's MEMPHIS recorded a number for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS annual Carols for a Cure Album, which features Broadway casts performing holiday standards in the style of their musical's numbers. Yesterday, on April 28, The Shubert Organization and the Career Transition For Dancers hosted a 'Between the Shows' get together and dinner for for Broadway dance community at Sardi's in Times Square. In attendance was Nick Adams, Kelly Bishop, Caitlin Carter, Mercedes Ellington, Priscilla Lopez, Vivian Nixon, Keith Roberts, John Selya, Judine Somerville and many more of the talented dancers that grace the Broadway stages each night. BroadwayWorld was also on hand for the celebration honoring some of Broadway's best.

Yesterday, January 14, MEMPHIS celebrated its 100th performance on Broadway. In honor of the event, all involved with the production, along with BroadwayWorld, celebrated at Justin Timberlake's restaurant, ‘Southern Hospitality' following the curtain.

To celebrate the 100th performance at the hit musical MEMPHIS, the first 100 people who buy tickets at the Shubert Box Office on Thursday, January 14th will get the newly released MEMPHIS Cast Album. In addition MEMPHIS will hold a lottery during the curtain call on Thursday, January 14, 2010 to invite a special member of the audience and their party to join the cast at Justin Timberlake's Manhattan hotspot Southern Hospitality. A winner will be chosen by a random seat location drawing. The lucky winner will then join David Bryan, cast and crew at the celebrity hangout Southern Hospitality. All ticket holders for the Thursday, January 14, 2010 performance are eligible.

It's easy to forget how ravishingly absorbing an evening at Equus can be if you only consider it as Peter Shaffer's scripted words. Though certainly not deficient in providing a neat little psychological morality drama, what makes the text succeed so well is that, like a great ballet composer, the author knows how to hand over to other artists the opportunity to use his work as a springboard for the creation of emblazing visuals that illuminate with lofty creativity. Equus may not read like great theatre, but director Thea Sharrock's elegant cerebral nightmare of a production shows it can sure play like it.

On Saturday, July 11th, Broadway performers from The Little Mermaid, Billy Eilliot, Mamma Mia!, and Bye Bye Birdie Celebrated Canada Day, which is on July 1st. They joined Robert Creighton and Friends for the 5th Annual Canadian Day Party at THE IRISH ROGUE (356 W 44th Street).
