The Encore Musical Theatre Company will offer two very special events that celebrate the heritage of Black music.

Modern Jazz Meets Musical Theatre runs for two performances only, Feb. 18th and 19th at 7:30pm, at The Encore Musical Theatre Company. On Sundays September 4 and 11 at 7 pm, Emergent Arts' 'Stage Time' variety show returns to Ypsilanti at The Madhouse, 1436 E. Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti 48198, featuring the best and brightest talent the state has to offer, followed at 8:30 pm by Emergent Arts' own UNclub Open Mic. Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)[revised] has been extended at The Mix Studio Theater. Emergent Arts, resident company at the theater, will present the comedy The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield for three more performances, Friday and Saturday November 21 & 22 at 8pm, and Sunday November 23 at 2pm. This is in addition to their second week shows of Nov. 13-15 at 8pm and Nov. 16 at 2pm. The Emergent Arts Theatre Company will present its first full season of plays this year, starting with Neil Simon‘s The Odd Couple May 24-27 at the Arthur Miller Theatre, 1226 Murfin, in the Walgreen Drama Center, Ann Arbor, MI.
